Report: Ashita no Joe filming (April 25, 2010)
Seems like Yamapi really is sick.. a few reports have come out as extras are going home, and there will probably be more tomorrow.
Really really hope he recovers soon.
1. From an extra who wrote this on the train ride home:
Today filming ended earlier than expected
Prince-sama seemed to have a cold
But, it'll definitely be okay!
"Everyone please wash your hands, and be careful of your health!" The Prince-sama said, and bowed his head to everyone.
Nn, when the condition of your health is not so great, rest early, and work hard again tomorrow, this is better for your body!
Because tomorrow and the day after will also continue to be filming.
The filming site is very small, even from the last row, Joe's face can be seen very clearly with our eyes.
Tomohisa-kun was not as energetic today, but yesterday the cheerful conversation with the costars, the serious discussions with the trainer and director.. The Pince-sama is really attractive when he is working after all
Today, I asked the young man sitting beside me what he thought of Yamashita Tomohisa's Joe?
He responded, when he first heard, because in his mind Joe had more of a rough image, he questioned the choice of having Yamapi play this part
But seeing with his own eyes today, he thinks that it'll be okay.. Or he should say, actually that IS Joe!
I'm really happy.
2. Today, because Yamapi had a fever and was not in good condition, filming ended early
During the break, he leaned against the wall and closed his eyes to rest, with a yellow towel over his head
An assistant gave him a dark blue ice pack, and he kept it on his head. At first it was behind the back of his head, so I thought it was to protect him from falling
Then I noticed that he was very unenergetic, and later put the ice pack at the top of his head, and realized that he had a fever =(
When filming was completed, his voice sounded really nasal, even more so than yesterday
I'll report about this in more detail later
3. A bug flew over, and Pi who was leaning against the side of the boxing ring kicked at it to chase it away, it was seriously too adorable ~(≧▽≦)
A few times he suddenly met my eyes （
）, my heart beat so hard I was about to die!
But, my position is in a place that needs acting ability because I might be filmed
At first I was a bit embarrassed, but for the finished product, for Pi's sake, I worked hard properly
Yesterday, Pi-chan started having a bit of a dry cough. Occasionally he would close his eyes while he was standing with a tired expression on his face.
But, a mischievous smile appeared many times, talking and laughing with the costars, clearly still energetic.
Today, starting from the morning, he had circles under his eyes, and an expression like he was really suffering
He coughed many more times too.
Beginning from the afternoon, while waiting, he sat on the chair in the corner of the boxing ring, and seemed just like the real Joe...
Hands dangling without energy
After, he put ice packs on his forehead, he seemed to have developed a fever(≧д≦)
Clearly he really wasn't feeling well.
But as soon as filming began, I couldn't tell at all that the condition of his health was any different, very realistic and powerful acting.
Seriously.. I worried internally, but not wanting to lose to Pi's hard work, I worked hard to act the part too
Worked hard together with Pi-chan
But.. seeing Pi-chan suffer, I saw this from very closely
Seeing Pi-chan so weak, it was really painful
That is actually something he really doesn't want to show other people....
During the break, I went outside to go to the bathroom, and saw Pi-chan sitting on the chair.
I should have wanted to stop and look at Pi, but seeing Pi-chan looking so weak under the bright sunlight was really too difficult, and I almost ran to the bathroom.
Because I really wanted to cry

There were three males in front of the boxing ring, they are the staff from the company which hires the extras, they go to the filming site at every location.
Because I can't disclose the contents of filming, I can't say this in detail, but they said that after filming ends, Pi-chan has to continue his boxing training.
Rather than exhaustion from the filming, they said that it was more likely because the training regimen was really just too harsh.
Seemed that he caught a cold during filming in Saitama...
Pi-chan, please rest properly today, hope you recover soon.
4. What was the fanservice talk between Danpei and Joe? Sorry, I'm not sure about this
But Kagawa stroked Yamapi's head~
They physically touched many times, I could really see the fondness, really happy
Pi talked and laughed with many people, an adorable smile appeared many times
The director rarely stood up to direct, not clear how he is as a person
But has the cool feeling of an artistic creator.. a really vague description, sorry
Pi was beautiful just like everyone said, like he was possessed by a godly spirit!
Even though his muscles were well trained, he seemed fresh and young, and did not have the bulky feel of a macho man, like a beautiful sculpture
His face as well! Rather than saying handsome, actually beautiful is a better word to describe him.
When I was acting as an extra, my knee was covered with a blanket, and used heat packs, but I still felt the penetrating cold, the kind of cold that wanted me to leave the filming site several times
In this kind of condition, many days of filming wearing next to nothing, the condition of Pi's health seemed not too great...
Even though I can't say more on this topic, I'll say that in this difficult filming environment, he worked really hard! Please stay beautiful!
5. During the wait, the make up artist clipped Yamapi's bangs with a hair cliip, and tied around it with a red elastic band~
Later, he had to go and speak to the extras, and Pi seemed a bit embarrassed about this kind of appearance, and tried to get it off with his Doraemon boxing glove hands
Of course, he couldn't get it off, and the make up artist helped him take the clip off. After taking it off, then Pi walked over to the area with the extras.
When he sat on the chair in the corner of the ring, he sat with his toes pointed inwards.. <-- extremely cute
I spoke with an unknown actor during the break, and it was when this actor said that Pi wasn't feeling well that I found out about it
The actor said that Yamapi is very polite, very kind.
6. Seeing Yamapi poke at his hair clip with the big heavy red boxing gloves was incredibly cute!
Can everyone imagine Winnie the Pooh struggling to get honey out of a jar?
And I want to say that the red hair clip seemed to really suit Yamapi, lol
Also, right before filming ended, Pi faced us and squatted down... His legs were spread a bit far...
I'm sure everyone knows his manly way of sitting~
So I instinctively, not deliberately, accidentally looked here.....
But I didn't realize that everyone else had the same reaction, I heard everyone whispering excitedly
Alright, I guess nobody is that innocent.

His legs were thin!
A bug flew into the rink, Pi's expression as he was startled and taking a step back was really cute.
