Windy - woo.

My finger hurts. My right ring finger, right at the right side of the nail. I think it's irritated by something. Maybe I got poked or scratched or there's some grossness under that part of the nail I dunno. No pus, so I just slapped some neosporin on it and it feels a little better.

I'll drown the fucker in hydrogen peroxide or isopropyl alcohol later, if it doesn't leave me alone.

Today was fucking wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiindy. It was basically a wind storm to go with the rain storm we had last night. There was a wind advisory in effect through out southern new england (eastern region), and our power got knocked out all over town for an hour or two. Nate and I happened to be at the laundro-mat while that happened, just starting up the dryer for our load.

Anyhow, not knowing when the power would return, we decided to grab our clothes and dry them at the house (we have a working dryer, but not a washer). So, we did and it turned out that power was out at the house, too. So, we sat around the house and talked until it came back on, stuck the clothes in the dryer and considered whether or not it was a good idea for Nate to go driving to school today with the winds worsening.

In the end, we decided it was better for him to miss class once and avoid any weather-related problems on the road. So, he emailed his professor about it, we went out once more to a local Subway and got some sandwiches and came home to relax.

Since Hollywood Video is right next door, I wanted to get a membership and maybe rent some movies to watch over the weekend, but Nate thought the membership cost 20-30 dollars (Pat later informed me it was free, but videos are 4.00 each to rent), so we might do that this weekend at some point.

I do know that, weather permitting, tomorrow, we have to go out again and do some stuff.

Maybe we might do a big laundry trip tomorrow, but I'd rather wait until Sunday for it. It's more likely we'll do the job hunting thing and maybe something else.

We just went out and did the rental thing and got a couple of movies, so that's cool. It was like 8.24 or something in total, not too bad.

So, yeah. We gotta get the oil changed on Tuesday... and ask the mechanic to winterize the car, and I'm insisting that he check the air in the tires, because the front two look a bit low. Sal told me it wasn't, but he's not a mechanic. Oh, Sal's paying for all repairs and maintinence on Nate's car for as long as he's attending school. :p

Nate's going to get his work study thing squared away next week, so that'll be roughly 100 bucks a week for us, maybe less. I'm doing the job hunt, so I should have SOME kind of little part time thing going within the next month. We're making good progress, methinks. :d

I am never, ever, ever, ever, ever working at another food service place, though. No. Never. :|
