One. [Video / Action for anyone at New Bark : Backdated to the 13th]

[Yukiko has just heard the talk about where they are and what is going on, and is now sat in New Bark looking a little put out. She's still holding onto her Vulpix, especially as the little fox Pokémon seems to be warm, though she also has her backpack at her feet and her Pokégear in her hands. Today was turning out to be a pretty bad day

[So after the whole mess with the weekend of missing memories and teleportations -- the second Chie's experienced, and it can happily be the last as far as she's concerned -- she woke up in Olivine City with her little traveling party. Well, that was their next stop anyway, so at least Johto had been a little kind this time. Still, she's a little annoyed as she pulls out her Pokégear and pages through the recent posts to see where everybody's ended up.]

[And it doesn't take her long to find Yukiko's accidental post. Her fingers freeze, eyes going wide as she hears that familiar voice. Her heart jumps into her throat and she grins uncontrollably. She's back, Yukiko's back --]

[...again. Just like the last time, and the time before that. She has a new partner and she doesn't seem to remember anything. Just like the last time, and the time before that, and the time before that.

Chie's excitement dissolves as her brain catches up to the situation. This is getting to be too familiar. She shows up, she's around for a couple of months, if Chie's really lucky they get like three or four conversations in... and then she vanishes again, like she was never even there.]

[Before she realizes she's doing it, Chie punches a wall. Johto's just mocking her now, isn't it? Is this just going to keep up forever? A revolving door of Yukiko coming and going, as long as Chie's still trapped here? How the hell is she supposed to be happy about seeing her best friend when she knows it's not going to last?]

[...It takes her a minute or two to calm down. It's only been a couple weeks since she snapped out of that initial funk, but she remembers the lesson she learned from it. She can't let the randomness of this place bring her down, or it'll completely paralyze her. Her friends and her Pokémon are all counting on her, and she can't let them down any more. If she doesn't have long with Yukiko, then at least she can enjoy the time she has.]

[So she blows on her aching knuckles and gets the camera on her gear oriented, giving it her best grin.]

Hey, Yukiko! Over here, the cell phone thing. [And once Yukiko hears her and picks it up...] Welcome to Johto. It's good to see you again.

[It takes a moment for her to work out where the sound of her best friend's voice is coming from, but when she does she looks slightly embarrassed for not realising the device was even switched on.]

Chie! [Ah, that's a nice sight after being... well thrown in here? She isn't really sure what is going on right now.] It's good to see you too. Though, I'm sorry I didn't realise this was on.

[video] IT'S NOT YUKIKO'S FAULT just. Chie's life. what is it.

Yeah, for some reason they're really easy to turn on accidentally. [She smiles sheepishly.] I've done it myself a few times.

So... How're you doing down there in New Bark? Meet your new partner? Find the guide book? [Ugh, she feels strangely awkward.]

[She does smile about that, though it's partly her Vulpix's fault. She's turning out to be just as mischievous as she is helpful.]

Do you mean Agi? [She lifts the Vulpix into view, who immediately curls up on her lap. It's a good thing though, as sudden warmth is always a nice thing.] I'm still making my way through the backpack so I haven't found that yet.

[This is a little awkward, yes, but she's just trying to get by at the moment. The other things can be sorted later, right?] It's... a little cold. I'll be okay though.

Agi, huh? [Chie chuckles at that, glancing to one side where her own Agi and Bufu sit.] Yep, that'd be your new Pokémon. There's a lot to explain, and the book will cover a lot, but basically... You remember those old Pokémon games, right? Well, this is a world where all that stuff is real.

[She nods sympathetically.] Yeah, winters in Johto can be rough. Lots of snow. [She only realizes after speaking how weird that must sound. Well, she can explain the whole time thing later. For now she continues:] At least you've got a Fire-type with you. That'll help out a lot.

Ah, yes. [She looks faintly embarrassed, but then again, it can't be as bad as when they first met and Chie totally disregarded the name she gave to that dog- This time it makes a lot of sense.]

I'll try to get to the next town so I can read it properly then. [It's all a lot to take it, yes, but Yukiko is a smart girl.] I don't really want to stay here for longer than I need to.

[Now, come on. That name was just weird. This one is logical and cute.

At any rate, Chie does trust that Yukiko is smart enough and strong enough to pick this all up quickly.] Good plan. There's really nothing much down there anyway. Cherrygrove should take about three days on foot, and then it's... about a week to Violet? And by then one of us oughtta be able to get over there and pick you up. I'm pretty much on the other side of Johto, but I know the breeding center can spare somebody.

[No it wasn't! It was a cute name too.

Either way, Yukiko has already grabbed the guide book out to read on the way. You never know, turning the page might warm up her hands.]

That long? I suppose I should get moving then. [She does give Chie a warm smile though. She hasn't had a reason to miss her yet, what after seeing her like yesterday for her, but after all of this it's definitely nice to see her in Johto as well. She waits for Vulpix to hop up onto her backpack after she's pulled that on, feeling warmth at the back of her neck for now.]

Someone at the breeding centre? [Then don't mind it as the camera shakes, she's going to start walking while she can still feel her feet.]

[Chie can't help but return that smile, despite all the conflicting emotions rumbling around in her head.]

Oh, yeah! Um, Souji-kun and Yosuke rented a big building in Goldenrod and turned it into the Breeding Center! They have a bunch of Pokémon there and they sell their eggs to people who need to add to their teams! We're all staying there, too. Everybody from the investigation team except Naoto-kun is here.

[All of the smiles! C'mon Chie, you can do this... Yukiko sets off down the path she needs to take out of New Bark now, trying to not shiver/sneeze at all the cold. Hopefully she won't get sick before she gets there-

She nods at the explanation though.]

Rise-chan told me that Naoto-kun wasn't here, but that's as far as we've gotten yet. [There's a little warmth at how everyone seems to have gotten a base though, that's kind of like home.] I see. I'll start heading in that direction then, and hopefully will be able to find out if someone can meet me somewhere along the line.

[Chie bites her lip as her best friend sets out into the cold. She can't help thinking about how Yukiko never did lose that weakness to Ice. But with their Personas locked away, at least it won't be anything crippling.]

Right! I think me and Kanji-kun are the only ones who aren't in Goldenrod right now, so there's gotta be somebody who can come and meet you. And if worse comes to worst, I can fly over after I take on the gym in Cianwood.
