It's a replay of the Apple MacBook Pro HDCP thing, but
this is why I hate DRM. Note how there's a claim that "HDCP is only supposed to apply to high-value content" or something like that, yet ALL content is flagged in some cases. Also note the general vibe of the whole deal: why would I want to throw away a monitor I JUST bought (and I did -- a new Dell 23" monitor is awaiting my installation) simply because it's not "secure" enough for some suit? They're suggesting to me that this new monitor will be artificially obsolete in as soon as a year. Or maybe even less than that!
I love hardware and technology. I hate how technology and hardware can be abused like this. It reminds me that people SUCK.
