the latest FB/LJ thing, beta curiosity
So many are up in arms about the LJ/FB thing! I am not so much, mostly because my Facebook doesn't link to the same addresses, etc., I use for LJ. I trust you guys to know that if, for some unfathomable reason, you wanted to share one of my witty, unforgettable bon mots (such as the immortal "Ingrown Toenail Chronicles"), you would cut and paste rather than linking directly.
Though I have a Dreamwidth account, I primarily use it to sign up for ficlet bingo cards. The day may come when I crosspost/crossread more vigilantly, but I'm not there yet. This is partly because of DW-related wariness, but mostly due to sheer laziness.
I have been furiously busy with Otherfiction, but this has had the result (as it often does) of kicking fanfic instincts into high gear. If I got a 15K "Fringe" story ready for edits sometime in the next couple of weeks, spoilers through the S2 finale, would anybody out there be willing and able to turn around a beta before the S3 premiere? The trusty rheanna27 is off gallivanting around and unable to perform her usual ministrations, so I am without "Fringe"ly guidance. It's not entirely certain I will be able to do this in the time frame I want -- though the story is all but done, Otherfiction has to come first, and believe you me, time's a wastin' there. But I thought I'd ask just in case.
I am still doing my own gallivanting in tropical northeast Australia. I'm in a small resort town that I think is a sliver of paradise.
