The joy of unpacking

Which is no joy at all, really. The forest of boxes in my new place is truly awe-inspiring, partly b/c, due to the long-distance quality of the move, many things were boxed that wouldn't ordinarily be (like the table and chairs). I got set up for the necessities of life yesterday, though, and I hope to make a significant dent in it today, with hopes of being essentially done by tomorrow night. This might be ambitious, but if I can just find the damned shelves for the bookcases, I think I can get there.

I bought a TiVo set, then realized that actually paying for cable service along with the landline (which includes DVR service) would be cheaper than using the free apt. cable and a TiVo service. So now I am selling a TiVo set. If I can sell it for more than I paid, I shall be well-pleased. But I am mostly in the mood to move stuff out of my apartment, so if you are in Chicago and interested (very new looking Series 2 set), let me know; could be yours cheap or free. Setting up the phone order literally took 45 minutes, though -- jeezum peets.

Full cable will not be set up until Sunday, but I think I can work something out with coaxial cable to see "Bones" and "Fringe" tomorrow night. Hope so, anyway.

If I owe you e-mail or something, please be patient! I have not got internet set up at home yet, mostly b/c I have yet to unpack my main computer, and am having to do all online activity during morning coffee break down the street. I will catch up with everyone soon, I hope.
