conversations with characters

The talk I am having with a character in a Trek reboot fic I am writing (spoilers, obviously):

SPOCK: This is undignified.
ME: It's a sex scene. I'm doing my best.
SPOCK: It is unnecessary to describe me in my intimate moments.
ME: In fandom, you have no dignity. In old-style TOS slashfics, they used to have Kirk calling you "kitten."
SPOCK: .... If necessary, I will undergo Kolinahr to prevent such an event from ever occurring again.
ME: I would never, ever do that to you. I promise. I'm trying to stay in character here. Please cooperate? Please? Uhura's awesome.
SPOCK: I feel no reticence on that point. I assure you, given opportunity and privacy, I would indeed waste no time in, as you humans put it, "tapping that." But must you record this event?
ME: It's sort of necessary for it to happen, in a very meta sense.
SPOCK: Then please do me the courtesy of not describing my reproductive organs in some whimsically speculative manner.
ME: Done.
