I am in a money crunch. This has happened to me less in recent years; GG&K does chafe at the soul, sometimes, but it pays well. However, I've gotten hit by one thing after another for the past three months, and the totally unexpected bill I got today (yes, it turns out, the New Jersey DMV can find a way to charge me for something after I no longer live in New Jersey or own a car) has sort of pushed me past the endurance point on this. This weekend I spent some $$ on nonessentials, which seemed non-extravagant at the time (a haircut, a picture and frame, etc.) but now I am regretting even that. I am trying to take deep breaths and am considering asking the parents for a loan, which I'd sworn never ever ever to do again. However, the alternative appears to be four months or so of panic attacks. Ungood.
I have freelance assignments, but the first $$ for that won't show up for a while yet. I need others, I think.
