I took over 800 frickin' calls yesterday. That's probably a new record for me. And that's in a shift with 375 minutes of scheduled on-board time. More than 2 calls a minute (all, of course, handled with the courtesy and care you've all come to expect from Telus). If it was a completely mindless job it would be okay, because I could let my mind wander and get some good thinking done. If it was a job that completely engaged my mind it woud be okay, because I wouldn't get bored. But this job requires just that exact level of attention where neither of those things is possible.
I was so burnt out when I got home. Sitting down and watching a movie with a friend was exactly what I needed.
