Back on the Blink, Back from the Brink, Black from the Ink

Oct 30, 2003 23:33

I've been coming down with some sort of virus, and have had a muscle ache starting in my shoulders for a couple of days now. It was bearable until this morning, when I was reaching under the bathroom sink for some Advil and sneezed at the same time. Suddenly my trapezius spasmed so bad I could hardly move. I got J to get the Advil for me, and sat on the couch for the next couple of hours with a Magic Bag draped around my neck. I had a doctor's appointment at 3:15 anyway, to monitor the progress of my depression, so I mentioned this to him and now I'm on an analgesic/muscle relaxant combo until it eases up.

On the plus side, he figures that another month off work for the depression will be a good thing (you think it's hard being a Telus customer- try being an employee!). Hopefully I'll be able to spend the time finding coping methods for when I do have to go back, and rediscovering my hobbies (the thing that finally convinced me to go see the doctor about the depression in the first place was my lack of interest in calligraphy and illumination). (Hey, mummybeare, check out that last link.)
