so I've had Toboe since 2004, he's been a good and dependable lappy for all these years. But it would appear that I be a harsh mistress...
I managed to wear my way through one of the keys, and there are several more just about to this point for a long time I've had a grove worn into the side of the space bar that I use most often. Basically this means my lappy doesn't work right anymore, I can still get the A to work, but it takes concentration which I'm not used to putting into my typing.
The good news is, this damage is covered by my insurance policy, which means if a replacement keyboard can be ordered and installed, the insurance will pay for it. If they can't get one in [I doubt they can, but that's because none of them even knew Fujitsu made laptops] then the insurance will pay out my policy and I get a new laptop.
I'm waiting right now to hear if the keyboard can be ordered in, so in the mean time I'm using a USB keyboard,'cause I thinking pulling out a different laptop for he next little while would make me more twitchy than getting used to this larger keyboard.
I'm trying not to get my hopes up at the possibility of a new laptop, 'cause even if they gave me the money I don't think I could justify using that money to buy a new laptop when paying down my credit and saving up for the lappy I'd really like to get, which might just be an Alienware model.
