Summary: The tale of two star-crossed lovers, a dragon god and a cherry tree spirit, who are forced to reincarnate a thousand times to atone for their sins. A vicious cycle that always ends with Ryukami branded as a murderer.. and the death of Sakura.





Ryukami (Kamiki Ryunosuke)

• The majestic Dragon God, revered by all. He fell in love with Sakura, and made a promise to always make her happy. When news came that he will be betrothed to the Heavenly King's daughter, he tries to find his only love. But he does not find her. Instead, he hears about a rumor of Yamainu's plan against him. Gone mad with rage, he storms towards Yamainu's place and kills anyone who tried to stop him. Due to this sin, he was given a punishment, to cease from being a god. But because of Chiyo's wish, he was given another chance.
• Given 999 lifetimes, he passed through lives full of anger and hate. Each of which ended in his murder of his own sister. Now that it's the 1000th life, his last life, would he be able to find his only love and stop this once and for all? Or will he succumb to anger and murder one last time?

Sakura (Shida Mirai)

• Strong and fragile at the same time, the Cherry Tree spirit has the purest of hearts. Given a short but beautiful life, she has always been alone. But when Ryuukami falls in love with her, she gets the happiness she never knew existed. She was loved, and she was in love. But her life could not be perfect. Confronted with a dreadful choice, she chooses death and wishes deep inside her heart that maybe, they will meet again.
• Given 999 lifetimes, she passed through different lives full of sadness and despair. Each of which ended in her own suicide. Now that it's the 1000th life, her last life, would she be able to escape that dreadful choice and escape death? Or will she succumb to despair and commit suicide for one last time?

Chiyo (Ohgo Suzuka)

• The young heavenly Crane Spirit, fond of both her brothers Ryukami (half-brother) and Kumabushi. With her innocent and kind eyes, she watched things unfold; and when things turned worse, she used her own life force to wish for one thing: 1000 lifetimes, 1000 chances for the cursed couple to meet again. Praying for their dear happiness, she will give her all to make sure the couple will be able to find happiness.

Tsukihime (Fukuda Mayuko)

• The ethereal Moon Goddess, daughter of the Heavenly king and betrothed to the Dragon God. She loves deeply and only want happiness for the people she loves. And yet, because of one mistake, she triggered everything. Guilty and caged, she will fight to finally sets things right.

Yamainu (Yamada Ryosuke)

• The rogue mountain wolf, always watching after the moon. Driven by desire, he killed the Heavenly king and took over the heavenly kingdom. Heart as cold as ice, the strongest in the whole kingdom, and yet there is something he still cannot get.

Kanata Hongo

• A normal human, plagued by visions of celestial beings especially those of the cursed couple. He sees through their history and sees what they've gone through. When time comes when everyone is in the same playing field, he promises to do everything he can to help them, and to save the soul of the young girl whose voice he hears in his dreams.

Kumabushi (Nakajima Yuto)

• The strong and loyal bear spirit. Both Chiyo's brother (Ryukami's half-brother) and Yamainu's best friend (and most trusted companion), he was torn between familial ties and his promised allegiance with a friend. Betrayed by Chiyo's decision to give up her life force, he swore he will use any means to prevent the couple from ever coming back.

Notice: This Fanfiction will be posted EVERY SATURDAY. For sure. It won't be posted earlier or later. Just Saturday.
Also this will have exactly 12 chapter including the prologue and epilogue (unless some need arise to either lengten or shorten it), I'm sure. Each chapter will be pretty long :D
