Blind Faith 1/?

So this is the season 7 story idea I've had for a while. Instead of doing an all out full story structure, I'm going to do small pieces here and there.

Tony/Michelle
PG (for now)

Monica Allen knew she'd never get out of here.

The 22 year old shuffled into the diner barely on time but not early enough to miss out on the death glare her boss was currently giving her. Yep, she lived a glamorous life in a small rural town in Indiana.

"I'm sorry Dale. I had to swing past the Rite-Aid. It won't happen again." She made her way into the back while tying on her apron.

"That's whatcha said last time. Just grab these plates and get your ass in gear."

Yeah, she thought, this is really the high life.

They always came in around 2pm. Not early enough for the lunch crowd and not late enough to run into the dinner crowd.

Monica looks up from where she's washing dishes as she hears the bell above the door jingle. She watches them take a seat in the farthest booth as she dries her hands on a dish towel. It's been about, two months she thinks. She may have a shitty job, but she remembers just about every customer she's had. Certain people just stick out and these two definitely have something going on. She's been fascinated with them ever since they first walked in.

She remembers that day well. The man had been a refreshing surprise. He was intensely handsome. She knew for sure he was not from anywhere around here. But quickly after appreciating his good looks, she noticed something was...odd about him. He searched the diner like he was checking it for something, or more like someone. His demeanor made Monica nervous. He was surveying his surroundings, like she'd seen many of the soldiers returning from war do. And then, after what she assumed was a passing inspection, he moved off towards the far booth and that's when she'd seen his companion. At first, Monica assumed the woman was just another girlfriend being lead around by her overprotective boyfriend and she felt a small wave of anger come over her. As he lead the woman to the booth and helped her to sit, Monica noticed something that had escaped her in her haste to judge. She watched as the woman reached up and settled her hands on his shoulders, slowly sliding her backside along the edge of the booth and sitting timidly. The woman gave him a small smile and he leaned in to whisper something to her. It made the woman laugh and instantly the man's demeanor changed so much, Monica swore he wasn't the same tense person that had walked in. He sat on the other side of the table and she couldn't help but stare as he took the woman's wandering hands in his own, bringing one of them up to his lips, his eyes never leaving her face. She could see a touch of sadness in them, even as he smiled back at his companion. The woman's gaze never left the fall war over his shoulders.

That was when it clicked. The woman was blind.
