Teddy grit his teeth and pulled out the pamphlets that Mrs. Kaplan had given him earlier that week. It wasn't just going to go away if he ignored it, and maybe if he actually had plans for what to do with his mom's...body, then maybe the Avengers would release it to him so that he could bury it. Or cremate it and scatter the ashes or whatever.
Teddy set the pamphlets aside. Clearly, a minor distraction was necessary.
Or, more likely, he was trying desperately to ignore the big damn metaphorical elephant.
Teddy slipped out of his room and down the hallway towards the kitchen. He kind of hoped to run into someone - hopefully someone besides Xavin, because that wasn't something that he was interested in rehashing either.
He paused, catching a voice that, while familiar, wasn't usually heard in the Avengers' Tower. And judging by the tone, it sounded like Mrs. Kaplan had built up a good deal of momentum.
Peeking around the corner, Teddy quietly reminded himself to run interference should Mrs. Kaplan and Aunt May ever meet. Mrs. Kaplan clearly had taken to being the mother of a super hero like a duck took to water.
Although it was probably his duty as a super hero himself to rescue Iron Man from his boyfriend's mother.
"Hey Mrs. Kaplan."
((Tag: Mrs. Kaplan, clearly.))
