Billy Kaplan loved super-heroes.
This was a given. He'd been mad about them since he was very, very young. It didn't help that the friends he'd had never did anything to discorage him, and that his parents thought it was cute.
Getting to hang out with Mr. Immortal was something that he would be grinning about for years to come, and getting to BE in the Avengers tower occasionally caused him to make fanboy noises at random.
But there was only so much of it he could take.
He needed to get outside and do... something. Anything, really.
He needed to get away from all the things that he suspected were going to drive him mad, from the crazy best friend to the boyfriend.
So, Billy Kaplan was going to go out. But he knew going out on his own was a very bad idea.
Which was why he decided to track down the other person he was resonably sure was going stirr crazy stuck inside.
He went looking for Tommy.
