Wow. Who could believe it? You would think with a $100 Million School Voucher Program in the works, Public Schools must be the creme de al merde of the educational system. But, alas, that is apparently not the case.
The Department of Education released a report on July 14 with little fanfare that compared school testing performance in public schools with that in private schools. And you know what?
Public Schools outperformed Private Schools in Math and in many areas of reading, especially when comparing students of similar racial, social, and economic backgrounds. Conservative Christian schools were trounced at just about everything.
Just imagine what the public schools could do if WE ACTUALLY SUPPORTED THEM instead of giving all their money to private schools.
