The New Face of Wonder Woman?
It would appear (based on some somewhat reputable news sites and IMDB) that Joss Whedon has found his Wonder Woman: Indian actress Priyanka Chopra. Priyanka was Miss World 2000, and has been in a number of Bollywood sci-fi and action movies, including the hit "Krrish" (described as the Indian Superman).
Some message board posters are upset (mostly with ethnicity and accent). I have two responses: 1) Dialect coaches! (Nicole Kidman's accent is far thicker than most Indian people, and she manages to surpress it), and 2) Themyscria is not Iowa: Wonder Woman doesn't have to be Anglo-American!
My Firefly inner fanboy would love to have Morena Boccarin (Inara) as Wonder Woman, but my inner male's really got a thing for Indian women, so I'm conflicted. But generally, I think Priyanka would be a great choice, if she's comfortable with the
