Damages Season 2!!!... Episode 1 - I Lied, Too

Jan 09, 2009 14:43

Boy oh boy! the long wait is over. Just watched episode 1 and it was what i expected,... a great show. Good thing is that they stay true to their storytelling format, going back and forth through time (in which they were recognized and really put the audience in their seat wondering who and what, etc.). Season 1 was a great show, blew me in many dips and turns and what is and what not... really blows your mind!... anyways, on to season 2. Like the good old season 1, they put on scenes that make you speculate things (and i'll be happy to tell you what's in my mind).

In the scene wherein Ellen is talking to somebody and saying "i take that back, you should be scared", it was not revealed to whom she's talking to. Now that's one of the great thing about this show is that you get to participate. So here are some of my speculations (according to what i've seen so far and my gut instincts):

1. She's not talking to Patty, if she is... then the show will be over, no more season 3 (unless she survive the gunshots at the end of the episode and go have revenge on Season 3).

2. It's most likely that she's talking to nobody... like she's practicing her dialogues so that she can do the plot for Patty's murder (or someone else's). Why i speculated that way? Ellen is only talking, and no word from the person whom she's talking to.

3. Arthur Frobisher is in big trouble and he can't talk during the scene (duct taped? Ellen might have and she's just making a fool of Arthur and she's going to kill him anyways.)

4. Wes Krulik is the unlucky man. He's still an unknown character in the plot. He might even be Patty Hewes' personnel to spy on Ellen.

So far those are my speculations. I don't want to add more because it will be too much (even if i have more in mind, everyone is a candidate). I know the writers have something on their sleeves to pull another shocking revelation... and i am hoping for that to happen. For now, can't wait for episode 2!

Show Stealer: Patty Hewes and Ray Fiske Moment

I love Ray Fiske despite the antagonistic character (gotta love villains) and glad to see him one more time even if it was just a figment of Patty Hewes' imagination (love the torment of conscience :P).

Congrats to the Cast and Staff of Damages for a job well done! Looking forward to finish this season. Damages Season 2 stars Glenn Close, Rose Byrne, Tate Donovan, Anastasia Griffith, Marcia Gay Harden, Timothy Olyphant, Ted Danson, and William Hurt... and created for television by Todd A. Kessler, Glenn Kessler, and Daniel Zelman. The show airs on FX every Wednesday, 10pm E/P time.
