(no subject)
So, almost done with my undergrad in music. Yay!
I've managed to get Voccio to agree to my student teaching at DR so I should be there during the fall of next year so long as there are no unforseen hitches.
On another note, I've actually been thinking about what I will do if I go out and discover I hate teaching. I like kids so I'm hoping that won't be the case but given that I've never really taught before, I do worry about that.
So I told my friend Korey about my plan B tonight and it left him speechless. Granted, that's not that hard to do since he was also speechless when I told him that I wanted to get a pixie haircut. Anyways, I'm thinking if I hate teaching when I finish up student teaching that I might just go and get another undergraduate degree, but this time I would go pre-med. I thought about nursing a few years back, but I decided I wanted to pursue music education first to see where I could go with it. I'm still on that path, but I'm having real-world-itis where I'm now worried I'm going to go out and do my job and hate it. So I figure if it comes down to going back to school cause I don't like the career I went for then I might as well do the hard yards and become a doctor as oppose to nursing.
Hopefully though, my plan b will be completely unneccessary and I will absolutely love teaching.
