My salsa makes all the pretty girls want to dance....
What a long long day it was today. All i had was my world cultures recitation and my intro to painting class....but because of the latter, it was a long day -.- First off we went to the art store nearby because there was some materials that the class would share that we had to buy. Also, my teacher pointed out all the other things we should buy so being the lazy person i am i decided to buy most of them then and there so i wouldnt have to come back. So i got a bunch of stuff (that totalled 64 dollars and change....of MY own money, which i WILL get back) Plus four stretcher bars because today we were making our own canvas. What fun it was carrying all that stuff back to class.....>.> Good thing i decided not to buy the prestretched canvas i would need for next week.....
So we spent the afternoon assembling the strecher bars, then cutting up the canvas and stretching it over the bars, making sure it was tight, then stappling it. Afterwards we had to give it a coat of white jessaw because u cant paint directly onto canvas because the oil paints would eat it up. It was an extremely tiring task assembling that canvas board. Now i had hoped we would be able to leave them there (this is a 28 x 22 canvas mind you) but no, according to my professor, people steal, so if we left them there to dry we would have to come back and get them. I couldnt do that.....soooo i had to take it with me....along with my heavy bag of supplies, my heavy bookbag, and a bag of clothes and a pair of sneakers that i had bought to change into because my teacher told us not to wear nice clothes because of obvious reasons....and im not exaggerating about the heaviness of those bags =[ I had to walk alllllll the way from my building to where my mom works (its a walk...) With three heavy bags and a wet canvas board.....it was detestable, my arms ACHED, i had to stop a few times to switch what i was holding with my right hand to the left and vice versa, it was uncomfortable and well my arms and legs felt like they wanted to fall off....When i got to my mom i just dropped everything and fell right to the floor -.- I left the canvas and my clothes with her, she'll be bringing them home because there was NO WAY i was taking that load with me on the train. Sometimes the fact that she works so damn close to school has its upsides.....
Second week of college, over! Lotsa reading, that world cultures class doesnt joke around with the reading material -sigh- Plus i have two other novels to read, which fortunately are interesting but its still alot. Tomorrow i am supposed to go with Massiel to learn salsa dancing in this club we signed up for at the club fair....But only if she gets her butt online so i can tell her i can go! If not im not going by myself =[
Oooh i also decided to teach myself japanese, because i want to learn that much ^____^ So i looked up a few websites and printed out two of the alphabets, i will be starting with the Hiragana alphabet.....a i u e o! ka ki ku ke ko! I know the symbols for those already....Yay, fun!
