I am so proud of myself. It's one thing to tell yourself you've made a song you're proud of, but it is something entirely different to have a response that exceeded your expectations.
One of the staff members, "Crazy Aunt" Shannon, she came up to me after the talent show and said, "I don't say this to anyone. You have a line I wish I wrote."
- At that moment, I wanted to cry. That is something I have dreamed of hearing, and it's after one of the few songs I have ever written. She's a brilliant writer who is normally an English teacher for high school kids, and for her to say that a line I WROTE, ME, she is envious of? Holy crap.
This is what I need to do for the rest of my life. I don't want to be famous; I just want to play. Write my stuff, and play.
