I've not not had a job since high school, and I'm enjoying every single darn second of it. It's been awhile since I took advantage of the free Tuesdays at Balboa Park, and seeing that the third Tuesday of the month has always been my personal favorite, I decided to head down there. Sadly, the other people going had to bail last minute, but in the end, I was rather glad it turned out that way. From prior experiences, whenever bringing a friend, it always felt so rushed. I like looking/ examining whatever's on display and reading the info on them. I can take my time without feeling like someone is waiting to move on to the next piece. The only time I wish I had someone to talk to was at the Museum of Man. Right now, they have an exhibit called Body Orientation which mostly consists of photos of people that had some artistic work done, along with various tribes and their influences on modern culture. There were a few photos of the body work of piercers who had worked on me, so that was pretty awesome. Also, checked out the Museum of Art and saw the Warhol exhibit. It was neat to finally see his work in person. And, I found out the museum is going to show a movie on "Basquiat." That'll definitely save me on one of my Netflix rentals.
And yay, I get to go snorkeling tomorrow morning. The only time I've ever attempted was about 10 years ago in my parents' swimming pool.
