20. Vision of Escaflowne OP ("Yakusoku wa Iranai" by Maaya Sakamoto)

Well, the animation is okay. But the song is so majestic. This is Maaya Sakamoto's debut single under Yoko Kanno. So, Maaya Sakamoto + Yoko Kanno= awesome. They still worked together in the Macross franchise.

19. Persona -trinity soul- OP 1 ("Breakin' Through" by Shuhei Kita)

Though I'm not much a big fan of the Persona games, I really the music. This OP is cool and it vibes with the Persona series itself except that i heard that some fans dislike the anime.

18. Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig ("Rise" by Origa)

I'm pretty much aware that this OP is also parodied by many animes, most especially on 0:58. The OP itself reflects on the plot of the series. The song again is awesome. Srsly, Yoko Kanno really made some great music.

17. Darker than Black OP 1 ("Howling" by Abingdon Boys School)

One word on this one: BADASS! Hei is badass. Abingdon Boys School are badass. Takanoro Nishikawa (aka T.M. Revolution and also lead of ABS) is badass. Even the beginning quote of the song is badass:
Now I've lost it, I know I can kill . The truth is just beyond the Gate

16. Highschool of the Dead OP ("Highschool of the Dead" by Kishida Kyoudan and the Akeboshi Rockets)

The vectors used here are awesome except for the female characters showing much flesh here. But the song is cool. I know that the Kishida Kyoudan and the Akeboshi Rockets made great music most especially Touhou music like this, this, this, and this.
