Well i know i'm really behind on posts so i figure i'll start from the beginning so this is gonna be about the concert i went to, All-American Rejects and The Academy Is... yeah it was a great concert. Um let's see i got there waited in line for a half an hour to get in freezing our asses off in the snow, that was an adventure but it was worth it. Then we got inside and i got a few t-shirts and a hoodie and a AAR dvd. A pass to go to the signing after came with the dvd but of course i couldn't stay, just my luck. but i gave my pass to my friend and she got my dvd signed for me so i was happy it has tyson, nick, mike, and chris's autographs. then we went into the ice rink and it was kind of cold some people stayed in the stands around the rink but the pit was on the ice. they had a rug down on the ice and the stage was set up at one end of the rink. People were gathered around the rail that separated crowd from stage there was about a 3 feet space there. We stood at the very end of the rail on the right side and had a clear view of the stage from the side it was pretty cool we found a good place. first this small band from philly came out they were called Jealousy Curve. They were ok i don't even think they had a cd out though if they did they weren't selling them. Then we had to wait a while for them to set up The Academy Is...'s equipment they played some music on the speakers while we waited and some people tried to start a mosh pit it didn't last that long. I think i remember them playing the chipmunk christmas song though i got a good laugh out of that. We were standing right by the speakers too so my ears were ringing for a few days after that it felt like we had a second heartbeat when the bands were playing definitly a rush. finally The Academy Is... came out i'm pretty sure they opened with 'Attention, Attention' but my memory isn't the best if anyone went feel free to correct me if i'm wrong but i had heard of The Academy Is... before i went to the concert but i'd never actually listened to them closely but they put on an awesome live show and i have to say i'm hooked. i bought the cd while i was there and they really are great. anyway back to details. well the drummer for TAI [abbreviations people sorry i get lazy sue me] came out in his boxers, yes boxers, yes in an ice rink, he had to be cold we saw him jumping up and down trying to get himself warm on the side of the stage before the show because we had a clear view of the backstage part where the bands stood before they came out. william was great my mom said after the show he was a little feminine in the way he moved and flipped his hair but i just said if she had hair like that she'd flip it too, haha yeah but then during one of their songs william stopped and yelled "To all you new fans, welcome to the fucking club." yes that was great, then after they were done we had to wait again for them to set up the AAR's equipment they played "We are the champions" and people started singing along, that was great. then AAR came out they played since i waited so long to post this i remember bits and pieces of what happened but i'll give it my best shot, so i remember them playing of course, i remember tyson screaming something about getting some crowd surfing going and there being so much of it the security couldn't keep up so one girl fell over the rail onto her back and the other went headfirst over the rail and the guy caught her like 2 inches before she hit the ground, then i remember they all went offstage and these guys brought out barrels and a rocking chair with a blanket and tyson sat in the rocker and put the blanket on his lap and chris sat on the barrel with pair of bongos and they played a song like that then they took that stuff off and came back out this one guy came onto the stage while tyson was talking and like hugged him around the shoulders from behind and said something in his ear, then tyson said 'this guy needs to say something' so the guy gets to the microphone and says all wwf announcer like "Give it up for the All-American Rejects!" and then walks off stage and tyson just goes "Who the hell was that?" and then he says "That was great i don't think anyone's done that all tour, stick around after the show, ya know what i might be needing my penis one last time!" yeeeaaaa long story lol that's about all that sticks out in my mind eventually the concert ended we all had to leave people shoved band advertisements in our hands on the way out although i was happy i found a fall out boy sticker...well that's about it for my first concert i might put the pictures i took on here when i get them developed and if they're at least half decent [c-ya]
