Doppelganger
Has anybody read the story of Poe called William Wilson?I remember reading it like I'm not sure but in the secondary school or so.There was a book including the short stories of Edgar Allan Poe,of course it was simplified,and I took that one from the library.Rofl,my English teacher was surprised at my book choice.God bless her,she was one of the rare teachers that I saw as an idol and admired.I still remember how I found the cats scary when I read the "Black Cat" and William Wilson was among the other stories.Basically it was about a man and his "dark half" I guess I heard the word "doppelganger" for the first time by this book.Of course it wasn't mentioned exactly in this word but it must have taken my attention in one of the reviews of the book.
The last weekend the fourth episode of SGA from season 4 was on the tv.The title was "Doppelganger" (actually,"a" should be with umlaut:p but I guess it's spelled like this in English )and I was really excited,I saw spoilery images from the episode but I haven't seen it before.I need DVDs of the last two.
Overall I enjoyed the episode,yet it can be better.
The episode starts with the team's investigating a planet and Sheppard sees a glowing crystal.Unable to control himself,he touches the crystal and immediately blown away.Boy,do you really have to do that?
Soon Sheppard gives the call.
Sheppard: I’m going to recommend sending a science team back here to check it out.
McKay : I am a science team!

New doctor checks Sheppard.Later Teyla and Sheppard head to their rooms.

Teyla sees Sheppard in her dream,well a nightmare actually, with Ronan saying that "I always knew that you're going to date"
LOL I always thought you and Teyla together,Ronan!But guess something is not right.Sheppard looks a bit spooky:D
hmm,Teyla looks like as she did in Rising
and then ta-daa Bug-boy is back!Looks like Teyla's biggest fear is to see Sheppard in that metamorphosis state.For the record,I like the episode Conversation.
at least his hair still looks awesome!
Following day,Teyla talks about her nightmare with Ronan and McKay.Meanwhile Sheppard joins the group but realizes that Teyla seems to be uncomfortable.
*I can't control what's in her dreams!*
Blonde doctor,Keller?,also sees a nightmare involving Sheppard.The scene in the emergency room is much like "The Thing" to me rather than Alien,which is one of my favorite movies.
Is it possible to hate evil!Shep?
Yours truly couldn't,lmao
but I admit he looks really scary with those crazy eyes!
Waking up,Keller sees that Ronan and Sheppard,the last person she wants to see at that moment shows up in the infirmary.Ronan is injured on head by Sheppard (hmm,is he really going evil or what?)
Now it's Ronan's turn to have a nightmare.I find interesting the theme of their dreams and think that they can be even more darker.For instance Ronan finds himself abandoned (or left behind)in Atlantis and when a door opening to a jungle.He lived as a fugitive for years and probably the jungle looks like the ones he's been hiding.Anyways he sees Sheppard
trust no1,Ronan=)
no matter how charming he looks like:p
or you may end up being buried alive
Lorne points a gun to Sheppard claiming that he's a replicator.Poor Sheppard
For a moment,I thought they are going to believe in him but turns out he's sleepwalking.However he has the similar nightmare with Sheppard.
Keller and Carter discuss the issue and think that it is something to do with the crystal that Sheppard touches at the planet.Also whatever it is,changes the host in some way.

However they can't stop doctor's death...not being able to wake up,Dr Heightmeyer dies in her sleep.umm,thanks to Sheppard.
Sheppard blames himself for the death of the doctor because he brings the thing into Atlantis and now someone is dead because of him.
I think that scene was pretty lame.I mean the conversation between Keller and Carter.I think it will take time to warm these characters for me:(
They don't even pay you enough to get a bigger bed,John!
I don't ship for John/Teyla or any couple for the show but this scene was so emotional.

While Sheppard' murmuring himself how to stop it,Carter comes up with an idea.Did she remind a similar story in her days from SG-,I'm not sure (god,I need to see that show,too bur for god's sake it's 10 seasons!)
Sheppard says that he's gonna inside McKay's dream
Ronon : Where's she going? What's going on?
Sheppard: I don't know, but I think, I'm about to see a side of McKay I never wanted to see.
Teyla : It does not have to be you.
Sheppard: Yeah well, it's my bad idea.
Ronon : What was?
I just love how Ronan looks confused with this scientific mumbo-jumbo:D

McKay mentions his biggest nightmare previously,being eaten by a whale,well by Moby Dick...
ah,it's about the time to see evil!Sheppard:D
Look behind McKay,there's your *angel*
oh,man.Frakkin' clowns
Just as the whale is swallowing the boat,John wakes up.After all,it's McKay' nightmare.He sees that McKay is dead!
He walks along the corridor,like refusing to accept what has just happened.
I liked this parts because SGA doesn't focus on character's feelings so much, in general,IMHO.
hmm,after this confrontation,it's understood that John isn't awake but is living his own nightmare.
and Evil!shep is on the stage again:D
We find out that John's biggest nightmare is to fail his friends and see the burden of feeling responsible for the death of doctor and McKay.
ouch!Evil-Sheppard kicks our boy's butt A LOT
Evil Sheppard: You can quit now.
Sheppard : I'm not afraid of you.
Evil Sheppard: Oh yes you are. I'm the one thing you are afraid of. You failed your friends. You brought this on them and there is NOTHING you can do...to stop it
OMFG,real or not... two Sheppards on the screen
and still kickin' his a**
McKay figures out the thing is vulnerable to the shock,so this time he goes inside John's dream.
Original Sheppard uses the opportunity and throw the bad boy through the gate:D
and sees McKay is alive
McKay : Which one are you?
Sheppard: Me.
McKay : Good you or bad you?
Sheppard: Me me, is that you you?
McKay : I think so.
Sheppard: Thanks.
McKay : Okay this is really weird.
Sheppard: You're tellin' me.
McKay : I thought there'd by more hot girls.
Sheppard: Yeah.
they both wake up, a bit surprised that there aren't any hot girls in John's head.hmmm

guess they all suffer from insomnia at the end:)
