Chapter 45
Good Bye
Everyone was waiting outside the main door as it was their last time seeing their lovely master. Sobbing, gloomy and sad facial expressions were written on their faces. They never expected the time will come so soon…..When they heard of the news they were shocked refused to believe what they had heard…But now…The reality had smacked them right in the face…
“Is that all sir?” Mr. Lee asked with sad face. He opened the door for Jaejoong as he saw him walking to the door.
“Uh? Oh…yeah….” Jaejoong startled for second but quickly nodded his head. He smiles to the man and mouthed ‘thank you’ before walking out to the door.
“But…but….just one luggage?” Mr. Lee frowns when he see Jaejoong only carried a single luggage with him.
“This is all I need….considering that I came here without anything….This is more than enough Mr. Lee.” Jaejoong smiles shyly. To think that he only come with one pair of clothes that he wear on his body that day and now he looks at his luggage and suddenly his face reddens….
“But…but…master….”Mr. Lee about to protest….It just ridiculous since he knows Jaejoong owned two full wardrobes that Mr. Yunho filled with luxurious brands for him.
“It’s okay…? Why is everyone out here? Yunho will get angry if he sees the house empty now.” Jaejoong chuckled when he saw the maids and the butlers were outside at the yard while looking at him with sad face.
“Master Jae….” They were whining while calling his name….. Some of the maids are already sobbing loudly.
“Don’t cry please…” Jaejoong felt sad too…He promise to himself yesterday that when he walked out from the mansion, he won’t cry…He won’t let them remember his tears instead he wants them to remember his smiles..
“Waaaaa master ah~~” His words even makes the maids wailing more loudly. Jaejoong sigh.
“Aisyh……..don’t be like this…..We still can meet outside….or I still can go visit you guys here right?” Jaejoong try to calm them down. They nodded but tears still falling from their eyes.
“Take care, Master Jae. Here, I made this for you.” Mrs. Shin hugged him before handing the small box to his hands. Jaejoong frowned but then he can sniff his favorite curry from the box.
“Thank you, Auntie Shin.” Jaejoong smiles widely and hugged the old women again.
“Master…here….” One of the butlers comes forward while handing him bouquet of white lilies…His favorite flower.
“Oh…wow…Thank you.” He stared at the white lilies for moment and then smile sadly…This could be his last white lilies.
“Do you really have to go master?” The other butler asked with sad eyes. Jaejoong look at him and then to the others maids and butlers….He nodded lightly.
“I……Love you all…You guys like my big family. Thank you so much for everything that you guys have done for me…And I’m sorry if I have done or say something that hurt your feelings...” Jaejoong bowed as to show his deep appreciation for accepting him there and even treated him nicely.
“We’re sorry too master…” The maids and the butlers bowed to him back.
“Thank you for take care of me.” Jaejoong bowed again as replied them.
“Jaejoong!!!” The voice startled him. He quickly looks at his left side where he saw a man that running towards him. He frowns curiously.
“Uh? Jon Won hyung?”
“Thanks God I made it….” Jun won panted hard while holding his knees. He takes deep breath to relax himself before straightening his body.
“You don’t have to go work today hyung?” Jaejoong asked curiously. He looks at his watch before look at the man in front of him again. It’s already 11:30 a.m…That man should be in the office right now not standing there with him. Jun Won just smiles with his question.
“Here….” Instead of answering him, Jun Won give brown envelop to his hands. Jaejoong startled for second. He quickly looks at the brown envelop before looks at Jun Won back.
“What is this?” He asks curiously. Jun Won gulped. He takes deep breaths again before starts talking.
“Your divorce settlement…you need this….Yunho wants you to have this…” Jaejoong gasped and quickly shoved the brown envelop back to Jun Won hands.
“No hyung…I don’t need this.” He shakes his head few times definitely refused to take the brown envelop from Jun Won.
“But Jaejoong ah….” Jun Won sighed. He already predicted that will happen.
“Please tell him…I really don’t need this. I’ve enough already…All this time, he already dressed me, feed me….it’s more than enough.” Jaejoong refused firmly. He just thinks it’s not the right thing to do or to accept it. Yunho already has done many things for him since the beginning. He takes his luggage and ready to walk to the taxi that waiting for him in the front yard parking car.
“Master Jaejoong…wait up!” Jaejoong startled for seconds when he hear the loud voices. He quickly look at the man that waving and running at him. He halted his pace while waiting the old man arrived to his place.
“Eh?? Now what? Are you going somewhere Uncle?” Jaejoong frowning looking at the old man that holding his luggage too.
“Well…..Master Yunho kicks me out, so…..” Mr. Yul hesitates but then he looks down try to hiding his eyes from Jaejoong’s eyes. He knows the kid really know reading someone emotions.
“He asked you to follow me right?” Jaejoong tapped his feet knowing really well his former husband tactics.
“Well…He said, if you don’t accept me….Then I’m fired.” Mr. Yul grinning and then look at Jaejoong hopefully.
“What!!! But…how can I afford to pay you uncle? I’m…”
“With this???” Jun Won grinning while handing the brown envelop back to Jaejoong hands. Jaejoong sighed.
“Aish….no…I mean…” Jaejoong was about to give the envelope back to Jun Won but Mr. Yul suddenly holding his hand and looking at him with deep eyes.
“Master Jaejoong ah…Master Yunho will pay my salary like usual only the difference I’m out to serving you…But if you reject me, then I’ll be losing my work and place to come back too, my home…Please have a pity with this ‘uncle’ sir.” The confession startled Jaejoong….He know Yunho can do something like that….But…..still…It’s Mr. Yul…His long life butler that already with him since he was child….Did he really wanted it like that?
“I must be out of my mind! Fine! You can come with me.” Jaejoong sigh in defeat. For sure, he knows Yunho must do it for some reason….and if that what Yunho wants, then he’ll give it.
“Thank you master Jaejoong.” Mr. Yul let go his hand and then bowed a little like he always do to Yunho before. Jaejoong cringed with that gesture and even protest it to Mr. Yul once to not do it to him but Mr. Yul insist since it was his ethic of works that he needs to follow.
“Jaejoong ah…” Jaejoong look behind his back when he saw tall man with black suit standing there composedly.
“Changmin shi…you’re here too.” Jaejoong smiles and then bowed a little. He looks at the tall man back who nodded his head lightly.
“Er…well...call me if you need anything.” Changmin patted his shoulder and smiles tenderly. He then looking around as for searching for something…or particularly someone….
“Thank you I will..” Jaejoong frowning as sensed the man eagerness or madness….
“Jun Won ah, where’s Yunho hyung? Why is he not here?” Changmin gritted his teeth. Since he do know his hyung real feelings to Jaejoong and seeing him hiding like that... it’s like cowardly action…and it fuming him! Isn’t this is what his Yunho hyung wanted? Should he be there facing it like the real man do?
“He didn’t come in to the office today…so….I thought he’s here.” Jun Won scratching his head when he saw Changmin glare at him. He gulped…suddenly he felt like innocent victim in there.
“That old man!!!” Changmin grumble and quickly walk forwards to the main door.
“Eh…Yah….sir where are you going?!?” Jun won startled for second but decided quickly follow him. He’s afraid if something bad might happen with the dark cloud mood around the taller man.
“To get that’s coward one!” Changmin hissed while continuing his steps ignoring Jun Won trouble face.
“Changmin shi….” Jaejoong soft voice startled him and he halted his steps and then look at the man beautiful man that walk towards them.
“I told you just call me Changmin, Jaejoong….” Changmin sigh. He felt frustrated since Jaejoong still calls him with a honorific name even though he remind him to drop the ‘shi’ part for many times. Even though he likes Jaejoong manners….. It can be irritating sometimes.
“Just….Let me do it…Changmin.” Jaejoong said with smile.
“Hm? Are you sure?” Changmin arched his eyebrows. But seeing the man determined face he knows that the right decision to let Jaejoong go instead of him.
Meanwhile……
“Oh crap! What he’s doing? He’s going to….” Yunho panicked when he saw Jaejoong turned to his window. He peeks again and gasped when he saw Jaejoong’s not there anymore….And few minutes later, he hears steps sounds coming closer to his door.
“Yun?” The soft voice startled him. He knows the voice very well. Without wasting times he quickly jumped to his working table while grabbing anything to cover his face.
“Oh? Jae? Come in…What’s wrong? Already miss me?” Yunho peek on his book when he saw Jaejoong walk in with the brown envelop in his hand. Yunho definitely know what the brown envelop meant. Jaejoong stand in front of his table and then blinking his eyes few times before answering him.
“By the way the book is upside down…here…” Jaejoong’s laughing before pushes the brown envelop to Yunho hand. Yunho quickly put the book away while coughed few times to hide his embarrassment face since Jaejoong actually still laughing at him.
“What…oh….Hm….Just please……accept it.” Yunho pushed the brown envelope back to Jaejoong hands.
“But Yunn…it’s too much!” Jaejoong sigh. He felt it’s not right to accept anything from Yunho since the he already sacrificed a lot for him.
“Jae…All this time…am I not a good husband to you?” Yunho suddenly asked with serious face
“Uh?? Yes of course….why?” Jaejoong nodded lightly. Truth, he never can denied Yunho was the greatest and best husband that he ever known.
“Then…let me fulfill my last role as your husbands…please…accept this.” Yunho smiled kindly and this time he takes the brown envelope and put it on Jaejoong’s hand. They look at each other for second before Jaejoong avert his eyes first by looking down on the floor.
“I…..fine….I guess….that it is…hm…..See you again?” Jaejoong sighed with defeated face. He knows that’s nothing that he can do to defeat stubborn Yunho…But for once Yunho have point there. He doesn’t want to wound Yunho ego. Yunho is definitely a great husband and for that he will fulfill Yunho last role and last responsibility that he asked.
“Yeah….See you….again…” It’s felt really heavy to say the words for Yunho. Jaejoong leaned forwards kiss his cheek and then walk straight to the door without looking back anymore. Yunho looked at the young man back with a sad smile. “See You Again ” rather “Good Bye”…..The words that they agreed to say for the farewell. Somehow the words give less painful for both of them
“Done?” Jaejoong startled for second when he heard the voice. He quickly looks at the man that leaned on the wall beside the door. He nodded.
“Take care of him for me.”
“Don’t worry about it….I will. You take care yourself…If you have problem come meet me or him.” Changmin patted Jaejoong shoulder softly while smiling at him. At least that’s the only thing that he can do for both of them.
“Thank you.” Jaejoong bowed and nodded before walking out. Changmin sighed. He takes a deep breath before pushes the door knob and walk inside the room.
“Yunho hyung….” Changmin’s looking at the man that standing beside the window. The man turns to look at him and then sigh.
“I’m ok…..”
“Hyung…You…..” Changmin pauses, and then sighed too. He wanted to asked him if …if he regretted with the choice that he made. But no words came out from his mouth after saw his hyung miserable face.
“It’s the best for both of us Min…Beside…..our marriage life based on contract not love……” Yunho sighed again. He looks outside where Jaejoong was getting inside the taxi. Changmin walks and standing beside him while watching the same view too.
“But…..be honest hyung…do you love him?” Changmin almost whispered the words. He looks at his hyung face to observe his expression.
“Isn’t that obvious?” Yunho turned to him with sad smile on his face. He knows he doesn’t need to say the words to make Changmin understand his feelings. Probably Changmin even knew his feeling even before he knew.
“Then why are you letting him go?” Changmin asked again with frustrated voice. He just can’t understand his hyung anymore.
“Because I want to start anew; but this time, with love as the foundation” Yunho patted his shoulder softly and smiles sincerely at him.
“Urgh!!! I don’t understand at all…I mean….even with as marriage contract you two still can love each other. So what’s the different anyway?” Changmin’s scratching head and groaned a little before leaned on the wall beside him.
“The difference!? The contract ended means your love will end too….but if it’s love….It can last forever….” Yunho watches the taxi move out from his mansion with misery. He then walks out from the room leaving Changmin behind.
Meanwhile…..
“Is Master Yunho….okay?” Mr. Yul asked quietly while looking at his master who head turned to look at the mansion even though they had already left from the mansion. Jaejoong turns to looks at him and then nodded lightly.
“He is…don’t worry too much uncle. Oh…I need to go somewhere. Can you go to our place first uncle?” Mr. Yul frowned when he heard his master request.
“Hmm…sure….But it will be awkward if you mother saw me instead of you.”
“Who said we’ll going to my mother place?” Jaejoong smirked. All this time, he made them believe that he will back to his mother side after the contract ends…But that’s definitely not in his long list of plans.
“We’re…not?” Mr. Yul gasped. His master Yunho wanted him to follow his Master Jaejoong because of this reason. Oh well….he wonder what will his master Yunho reaction when he know about this.
“That the surprise here...” Jaejoong hands the key to Mr. Yul before winking at him.
“Uh??”
“Please settle everything there uncle Yul. I might take some time…..The place is already clean and ready for people to live in. So I guess there not much work to do.”
“Hmm….you mean…young master…we….” Mr. Yul was speechless. He doesn’t know what to think at that moment.
“Yes uncle. Well this is just temporary. We will start staying in this place before I find a new place for us to move in.” Jaejoong said calmly. He didn’t plan to stay long. He don’t want to burden Junsu too long even though Junsu kindly said he will give the place for him as gift if he like it.
“Do master know about this?” Mr. Yul doesn’t know when his Master Jaejoong plan all this…and it startled him….His Master Jaejoong managed to do that without his Master Yunho knowing about it!
“Uh? Hm……I guess not..??. Let’s keep this as secret for moment. I’ll tell him about this later. I need to settle something before telling him about this. Give me some time. I promise I’ll tell him about this uncle.” Jaejoong looked at him with pleading eyes. It’s not that he doesn’t want Yunho to know about this, it’s just he felt he needs to settle everything with his mother first before telling him the truth. That’s the plan.
“Very well Master Jae.” Mr. Yul nodded lightly. Inside he’s debating whether to inform this matter to Master Yunho or not. But he sees no danger for moment so he thinks he will wait and see before reporting it.
“Sir, Can you stop the car in front of the bus stop?” Jaejoong pointed to the bus stop that few meter away from them. He shows the address card to the taxi driver to send Mr. Yul there and then pay their bill in advance. He purposely hiding the address before since he doesn’t want Yunho or any of them know about his new place.
“I see you at home uncle. Bye…” Jaejoong waving his hand as the taxi move to the road back. He sighed while looking at his right and left. The bus stop was empty with no other passenger waiting in there with him. Unfortunately without him knowing, there are eyes watching of him from far.
“He’s alone….” The man spoke on the phone while watching they prey.
“Good. Make sure no one see you guys.” The other line smirked when he hear the good news. Never thought the opportunity come so easily like that.
“Yes boss.” The man put the phone back in to his pocket and then signal his friend to move forwards.
