So today I was at Auburn in the lunch room eating my lunch with some other kids from my class which is what I normally do if they are there eating lunch and not someplace else otherwise I eat alone. Anyway after I was done eating and was just about to get up and leave to go to my next class early to work on practice tests on the computer these two guys come in and sit down right next to me. This irritated the hell out of me because I wanted to leave but though that now if I did that it might have been rude and I didn't know them at all and they started talking to me and everyone else and I just didn't like that. Besides they didn't even look like they went to Auburn for anything, they looked too old to be students and were kind of dressed up when no one else was. They asked everyone their name and such and we told them but only our first names. Then they said something about getting jobs but then stopped talking about it like they just said it to waste time. They then asked us how to get to the Madison Wal-Mart store. So we told them how to get there and that was that. It seemed strange though. They claimed one of them was from Columbus and the other Dublin and that they drove here from Columbus to go to the Madison Wal-Mart store. THat is exactly what they said and it sounds stupid if you ask me because who the hell would drive all the way to Madison from Columbus just to go to a damned Wal-Mart store. That's like what a four hour drive or something like that. Then the school police officer appeared behind me and asked those people what they were doing here. Then they told him the same thing that they wanted to know how to get to the Madison Wal-Mart store. He also told them how to get there but his directions sounded slightly made up and or out of date, lol. Anyway he made them leave right away and walked behind them to make sure they were leaving. I soon after left and headed to my class and saw the two guys and the police officer talking in the Junior office probably because that's the office by the main doors. Then I went to the bathroom which was right there and came out of that when I was done just as those two guys were driving away in their car. I asked the police officer if that's the only thing they came here for, to ask for directions to the Madison Wal-Mart and he said yes and then I was like wow that's crazy or something I don't remember.
Up in the classroom our teacher came in as different kids were in the room and was told that store about 6 or 7 times, basically by each student or group of students. Everyone said that it was freaky which it was. Then one of the kids said that the guys supposedly said something about wanting to talk to teens about some sort of teen magazine but they never said anything to us about that so I don't know where he got that and the same kid that said that also said that those guy's car had plates from Nevada on it! Plates from Nevada!!! what the hell are they doing in an Ohio public career center school claiming to be from Columbus wanting to know how to get to the Madison Wal-Mart store. THey never said why they wanted to go to Wal-Mart just that they wanted to, no one asked them either though.
So my opinion on this is that it was totally absurd and they should have never have even been able to get in the school, I didn't see a visitor tag on them either, they apparently just walked in the door and must have made their way to the cafeteria to talk to kids or something.
This basically means that they could have brought guns with them and shot every kid at lunch too!!! Thank God they didn't do that but they easily could have. So it is for this reason and this reason alone that I begin to question myself about how safe it is to be at Auburn Career Center. As far as I know anyone can just walk in the front doors, it's not like at Madison where they are all locked and you have to push a button to get let in with a video camera watching you. I think they should change Auburn to be that way too.
So what does everyone else think of this?
