New Year's eve, one of my favorite holidays ever. People are usually drunk and happy and looking forward to the upcoming year. They are filled with hope and the vibes are always a cool ride. Almost all of the staff are here to work. I haven't been this staffed since our grand opening.
Connor is going to work the floor. Oz and the band will be playing. Gia is working the bar with Destiny and Cory. Dylan, Eliza and Alex are working the downstairs bar. Galen and Mario have the door and the rest of the staff will be working the floor and the buffet that we put up with appetizers and stuff upstairs.
Preach and I will be mingling and it should be a good time had by all. I can't for the crowds to start filing in. I have to admit, Lorne had an awesome idea for a costume party. I'm not sure if I could pull off a costume party at the Lair. We're kind of a club for dancers and stuff, but if I had a more intimate place? Yeah, I'd totally be picking his brain for ideas.
I've got to do a final check and make sure the bars are all stocked and we have plenty of champagne on ice. Oh and noise makers and hats. I have to show the staff where they are kept and go over when to hand them out and stuff. Whee, this should be an interesting evening!
