Gosh... It's really been a long time since I've updated.
Anyway, quick fill-in:
I am at college right now, in St. Paul, Minnesota. I attend the University of St. Thomas. So far it's been good. My sleeping schedule is totally changed! I am taking Calculus (even though I took it in high school, I didn't get credit for it, stupid IB Standard Level), English (standard freshman English), German 300, and Irish Gaelic (the language!).
My roommate is fine, but not my favorite person. She's a little shallow (though that's not the right word), she is in no way ditzy but she loves to shop and spend money. She also watches TV almost 24/7... Plus since it is her TV in our, she gets control of it whenever she is in the room. She watches shows that I don't particulary care for: The Maury Show (personal tagline for the show: "who is the father of your baby talk show"), Soaps (all of them...), and many sitcoms. And it's not like she's even really watching them, she's typically doing other things at the time.
Ok that was my rant about my roommate... growl... anyway, I'll probably rant about her more as the year goes on.
Anyway, it's hard to find many people at my school who are the type of people I like, especially since St. Thomas is an expensive school. A lot of the girls here are baked and bleached (fake blondes who go to tanning salons), and have daddy's money to spend.
I've joined a couple of clubs, mini-baja club where we design, build and race our own off-roading car. Of course, I don't know anything about cars or engineering (it is basically an engineering club), but I'll learn. 'El Presidente' is cool, and a little geeky, but that's to be expected. It should be fun.
I also joined the German Club, which meets every other week, and we don't even have to know German to be in the club. It should be a lot of fun. Oh and every tuesday they get together for lunch and only speak german (or at least that's how they advertise it).
I'm also in a once-a-week kickboxing class (it is tiring but a lot of fun), and I'm on a co-ed rec soccer team (it shows me how out of shape I am!!!)
anyway, I'm trying to stay caught up with my work... but it's hard.
Oh! I just got back my first math test (on something I couldn't remember from last year) and I got a 94%!!! And I didn't even have a calculator! and the one problem I did totally screw up, the calculator wouldn't have helped me. Anyway I know it's kinda bragging, but I needed to post that.
I need to finish my German homework before I head off to class....... growl.....
I'm going to try and update more often, even though I don't think very many people read this, but I like posting so I can read what I've done.
WAH....
