lol all the cool jrockers tweet their way through episodes of Kamen Rider. (Yume once tweeted his way through PreCure. He is so nerdy, he is my favourite. ♥)
Manga:
Ten: I am always gushing about how much I love Ten but oh my god volume 13 was so boring I just about had an aneurysm to liven things up a bit. I hope they bring back Akagi soon, or else I just do not know what I will do.
Basara: I don't care if it's a '90s series, Basara totally has the feel of '80s adventure shoujo to me. In a good way. And despite my general shoujo-aversion, I am still loving it. I am kinda having trouble keeping track of all the characters, though, and I gave up on the geography ages ago. Things happen in various places, it doesn't really make that big a difference if I can't remember what happens where.
Touch: It's one of those legendary series that you have to have at least some exposure to if you take manga seriously (and of course I take everything way too seriously), plus since Cross Game I seem to have an Adachi series ongoing at any given point in time, so. Yeah. Gosh, it is really good, even if my favourite character died like six volumes in. Dude, Adachi. Why must you keep doing that?
Movies:
Honokaa Boy: lol because Halfway made me want to watch another Okada Masaki movie. It was really easygoing and pleasant to watch, but I don't think I'll end up rewatching it at any point. But it is totally worth watching at the very least for the scenes with Koichi. This ancient Hawaiian dude who keeps asking Leo to get him some dirty magazines from Japan because "only the Japanese ones get me excited". lol he is so funny.
Koichi: By the way, Leo-chan, what does my shirt say? I can't read Japanese.
Leo: ..."Love has no boundaries".
Koichi: Ahh, I see. Thank you.
Subtitles: HOMOSEXUAL.
Waruboro: Because delinquent movies are my favourite~ but lol you guys the subs were so bad. They were either ghetto Hong Kong subs or Babelfished from Chinese. The main guy kept getting called Taka, but then it randomly switched to Gong Yi. His name? Koichi, typically called Ko-chan. I think I will have to stop complaining about Shirota Yu playing a high school student, though, because it had Yuge Tomohisa as a student. I don't even know.
CROWS ZERO: a.k.a. Oguri Shun spends two hours kicking the shit out of hundreds of improbably old high schoolers, a.k.a. my new favourite movie. There's a school-wide brawl in the first five minutes. Miike Takashi really knows what I want in a movie, ngl. And when it was funny, it was funny as hell. And there was mahjong! And Kuroki Meisa stabbed a guy in the head with a fork! It had literally everything I could want in a movie, I think.
CROWS ZERO 2: Not quite as nice as the first movie, but taken by itself it is still pretty awesome. Plus, since Oguri Shun had already fought everyone, they had to introduce new improbably old, improbably attractive high schoolers. Miura Haruma really didn't do much of anything, but watching Kaneko Nobuaki and Ayano Go beat the shit out of basically everyone was incredibly satisfying. And there was so much rampant bromance Kaneko actually had to state outright he's not gay. (Haruma didn't look convinced, and the subsequent dude-hug didn't really help his case.)
I need to read the CROWS manga now, don't I? That was hypothetical; of course I do. DELINQUENTS EVERYWHERE = a sure sign I need to read pretty much any manga it applies to. /simpleminded
