While introducing the NHK clip, I think I referred to Yamazaki as "my soulmate"... I regret nothing.

So my anime panel group presented today, yay! It was very stressful because none of us had gotten much sleep, we had trouble figuring out the computer equipment, and I had an essay weighing on my mind, but it all came together quite nicely in the end.

We were the third group (of four) to go; the first two groups were on Japanese fashion, one gothloli, the other gyaru. The gyaru presentation was unintentionally funny for me, because she got into talking about Egg magazine and had pictures of different models she was cycling through as she talked, and upon seeing one I had to clap both hands over my mouth to keep myself from laughing out loud. (My group members noticed my reaction, since they were sitting on either side of me, and burst out laughing, which kind of undermined my attempts to be quiet but was kind of cute so I'll forgive.) It was Hikaru! As in, Okada Hiroki, Hikaru from Coat West Hikaru! Of all the things I might've expected, that was not one of them.

Our panel went great! I was quite worried that I'd mess things up, but I actually managed to be coherent and even string full sentences together! Public speaking and I don't get along, so it was a real concern. (I was shaking pretty hard, but w/e I managed full sentences. I RULE.) Hell, I managed to describe Midori no Hibi in a way that almost made sense! We kinda ran short on time, though, so we showed bits of Genshiken, NHK!, Midori, K-ON!, and The Big Bang Theory, but had to ditch Densha Otoko, Zetsubou Sensei, School Days (THANK GOD), and @DEEP. Maaaan, I really wanted to show the @DEEP clip~...

Well if you'll excuse me, I spent all of last night, most of this morning, and from the time I got back to class until the sun started to set finishing an essay; with my grey dress, slightly frazzled-looking hair, ridiculously pale face, and dark circles under my eyes, I really kind of look like the Gothic lit ghosts I was writing about. On top of it all I have an exam review class tomorrow morning; I'm not used to having class on Thursday...! And for added fun, I spent most of the day walking or standing, so my knees kill and my ankles are swollen. So basically my point is, I'm going to go drop dead for thirteen hours or so. Catch ya later! *DIES*

PS. Kido Yuya's had his blog for a whole year! Go congratulate him/cheer him on/something along those lines!
