Goal Weight: 88k / 196lb (initial goal - we'll see how I go ;o) )
I finally reached my mini goal weight today *dances*. I decided when I started this weight releasing programme, that I would have mini goals along the way, because 30 - 40 kilo's seems like an impossible target. So instead, I have four mini goals (to start with). 118.9, 108.9, 98.9 and if I have the staying power - 88.9.
So today I reached my first goal and what makes this all the sweeter is that I'm at the stage where I'm retaining water at the moment and still managed to reach my goal. I've maintained my 100 lengths of the pool for the past week, and it really does show in the scales.
I talked with one of the personal trainers last night when I was leaving the gym and he said he's willing to help with advice next week when I go back to the gym instead of swimming.
I want to be off all the diabetic meds by winter, which means I have to lose the kilo's and reduce my waist to below 100cm. The endo seems to think I have a good chance of clearing my type 2 if I keep on track.
Mum's gonna come to pilates with me on Wednesday night too, and I'm really hoping this will help with my back, as I am waking up daily with lower back pain and stiffness. Mark's right though, and I hate to say it, but I exercise better in the pool if Michelle isn't there, I tend to work harder if I'm not tempted to walk and talk instead of swim. And Senad last night was telling me I should swim because it works more muscles than walking in the water.
