So I went and rode in a Rodeo on Friday night!! God it was soo good to be on a horse and to be competing again. But the events leading up to it kindda sucked, and considering the out come, I'm gonna say it was all worth it!!!
Monday I was still pretty tired from the previous weekend escapades. And someone was very upset with me still. So I skipped a few meals and went on. Tuesday hit hard, I woke up feeling like I was dying!!! Someone still being mad at me, I took it hard Tuesday, didn't eat breakfast or Lunch, tried to donate blood (but because of my lovely tattoo I have to wait 12 fuck'n months before I can donate again!! :-P) When I realized I couldn't go a whole day with out eating, I wrote the someone note and went to dinner. And finally ate. Wednesday I woke up with a fever went to my classes and went out to the Barn and Rode my horse JR. Needless to say it was an ok night to ride. Thursday I had to walk across campus in a Skirt and it was around 35 degrees and windy. I had a speech, which sucked really badly because I didn’t practice the speech so I for got what I was going to say. I was still really excited about riding that night again, and I did. But this time it was 2 hours in the rain and wind. Didn’t help my health much but I got my riding done. Along with 3 straight hours of home work, I got my AG Econ, Chem. Lab reports, and Studied for my Psych exam. I took some sleep medicine and passed the fuck out that night!!! Chem. Lab was great; we made stuff glow bright blue!!! But the before product was yellow, and I ended up getting some of it on my shirt....So I was saying "Hey, I got chem. lab on my shirt!" Very funny at the time!! But I felt like shit. I was so congested and my throat was swollen. I just wanted to sleep!! But right after my Psych Exam on Friday I hurried back to my room, put some clothes on, grabbed my riding buddy and jumped in the truck, car, thingy...not sure what you call it. It's one of those new Toyotas...? But we went straight to the rodeo. We watched the Broncs (bear back and saddled horses) and then watched some of the Mutt Bustn (little kids riding sheep!!) and then we went and got the horses. There was 4 of us riding. The temp out side wasn't as bad as we thought it was going to be. We warmed up in the arena and when we had to leave the arena we found that the temperature had drop like 10 degrees in 15 minutes, and it started to rain, sleet, and snow. So I had the pleasure to sit in this for 20 min waiting for my name to be called. Needless to say by the time my name was called my hand where numb and my reins where soaked. So when I went in to the arena to run my barrel pattern I couldn't pull hard enough on the reins to get JR. close enough to the barrels, and we took out the last barrel. But we ran a 14.82 sec pattern....+5 seconds. That is like the Fasted pattern I have ever rode in my life!! It was great; the adrenaline was high as hell. I was soo cold I was shaking uncontrollably and I could barely untack JR. Let alone put it all away and get a blanket on him. My shirt was soaked through, and I didn’t really have dry clothes. My pants from my knees to my belt were soaked too. On the way home I got a fever and my throat swelled again and I was coughing like hell. I slept till 12 today and we didn’t get back till 2. In the end I would say that whole week and the time leading up to my 14.82 ride was worth it. But now I’m sick as hell....:-)~ oh well....no sleep or rest for the weak. Just more work and riding to be done. Along with 2 Exams this coming week. Gah!! It’s going to suck....oh well....night time....!
The "tweens" have slipped threw my fingers again, so I'm off to watch my Pirates!!! (I love pirates of the Caribbean; I can't wait till 2 comes out!!)
