Some stuff that may help if your new to MySpace.
Here are some websites that may help.
- A good basic beginner layout generator. Use different versions of Thomas Myspace Editor. Choose your own colors to make a basic and simple layout. (
http://www.strikefile.com/myspace)
- A websites with some myspace tips, and some coding technique. You can find a "Top 16" generator, a profile tracker, premade layouts, countdowns, extended network images, contact tables, online now images, falling images, etc.(
http://www.chasebadkids.net/reborn)
- Instead of having a "Top 8," you can have a "Top 12," or even a "Top 24." Choose who you want from your friends list, copy and paste information in the spaces provided, and generate your code. Then, copy and paste the coode to the very bottom of your "Who I'd Like To Meet" section. (
http://r4wr.com/friends)
- The same thing, for custom friends, without a generator. (
http://hotlayouts.nuclearcentury.com/top-16)
- Whateverlife, a website with layouts, tutorials, and other stuff like that. Choose from different premade layouts that have been categorized and all set to go. There are other things, like extended network images, where you can use a different image to replace the extended network box in your myspace profile.(
http://www.whateverlife.com)
- A good website that has music videos that you can put on your page. Or you can use the website to watch music videos. Or you can just use the music off of myspace. You just look under "music" and type in what you uare looking for. (
http://www.videocodezone.com)
- Another website that proviides music video codes. (
http://videocodes4u.com/)
- Layout snatcher, when you see a layout on someone else's myspace and like, you copy and paste their friend ID, which is up in the Address URL at the top of the page, and paste it here. Then, you get the code for the layout instantly.(

- Extra stuff you can add to your profile, like a countdown.(
http://www.blingyblob.com/index.htm)
- Get a myspace comment box for your profile so guests won't have to scroll down all the way to the bottom to comment. (
http://myspace.nuclearcentury.com/commentbox.php)
- Cursors, graphics and more, can be found here.(
http://www.zeebler.com)
- Extra stuff for your blog.(
http://www.createblog.com/topsite/in.php?id=2197)
- Other random stuff you can use for your myspace. This website also had layouts for myspace. (
http://www.2gn.net)
- Myspace layouts, gllitter graphics, custom cursors, animated graphics, videos, extended network banners, dividers, picture slideshows, comment boxes, and other stuff. (
http://www.coshed.com)
- Good picture hosts. Upload your own pictures from your harddrive to the online photo album. (
http://www.ImageShack.us or
http://www.TinyPic.com or
http://www.Photobucket.com)
So those are some websites. There are some myspaces that post layouts, and you can joing them, but make sure too leave credit. Usually, credit is already provided in the layout. All you have to do is not remove it, or you will make people very mad.
There are also some basic codes. (Just be sure to remove the * asterisks when you use them. If I typed it out without the asterisks, it wouldn't show up at all)
<*img src="URLHERE"*> Inserts an image.
<*a href="URLHERE"*> Inserts an active website.
<*a href=URLHERE">CUSTOMTEXTHERE* Inserts an active website, with the text you want to put in.
<*b>textgoeshere<*/b> Bolds text
<*i>textgoeshere<*/i> Italicises text
<*u>text goes here<*/u> Undderlines text
<*s>textgoeshere<*/s> Crosses out text
<*br> Will allow you to skip a line
<*center>textgoeshere<*/center> will center text.
But to make things a bit easier, try these:
http://whateverlife.com/myspacebasics.phphttp://whateverlife.com/myspacebasics2.php I also recomend looking at these tutorials. Even though they're meant for users of LiveJournal, they're still CSS coding and stuff, so it's similar to myspace. When you get a layout, you can go through and edit stuff to how you want it.
Cursors Change the size, font, and color of text Making hearts and other symbols CSS Link Alternation Blurs, glows, and other text filters A lot of the stuff you will most likely learn through trial-and-error. If you don't get something, I can probably explain some stuff later, or I'll try to. I hope whatever you use helps.
