(no subject)
NYC was a lot of fun!
-We drove up took us 10 hours, we stopped over in some roach motel on the way up then woke up super early to drive the rest of the way.
-We stayed in Fortlee NJ at Lori's friend's apartment. I woke up everyday looking at the GW Bridge, so close I coulda thrown a rock and hit it.
-We did some visiting the first day then drove into the city the next day and went to China Town and The Village.
-I don't know how anyone can drive in that city.
-China Town was really really shady! They'd jump in front of us saying "you want purse, wallet, rolex?" and if we said yes they'd take us in some hidden back room of some shopping center with curtains hanging around or down some alley into a basement to sell us fake designer purses etc.
-Food around there is amazing! We didn't eat at one place that had bad food
-The wedding was eh the reception was stupid and we had to wait nearly 4 hours for food to come out and all they played was greek music so that all that danced were the greeks that were there which is fine but hey if you're inviting non-greeks it'd be nice play some music for everyone to be able to dance to
-HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!!!! Lori took me to a place in the Village called Lips, it was run by drag queens! She wouldn't tell me what it was until we got there. It was tons of fun! We parked 3 blocks from the resturante but by the time we got down eating the Parade had started and we had to walk about 10 blocks around the city. The costumes that people had were amazing! People seriously went all out for their costumes there. There was a group of kids dressed up like the guys from ET riding their bikes. One was dressed like Elliot and had ET in the basket in the front of his bike. It was awesome!
I'm glad to be home though! It was fun but that's a very very stressful city for a small town boy like me!
