So what do you do if you catch being a vampire?  Because it's catching, isn't it, like syphilis or iguana or some shit, and if people has it around you then you ought to be prepared.  Like they tell you if you think you gone down on a girl as has VD you go medic or go health kit or some shit, you know.  But what if it's being a vampire?  Is there ( Read more... )

Sweet Ancestors

Were you dropped on your head as a baby?

Not only is that the most ignorant thing I've ever heard, but the most grossly misinformed.

No. Becoming a vampire isn't 'catching.'

I never thought I'd miss The Frontier this much...

I just have to ask about my favorite part: "Iguana"?

I suppose you could catch an iguana, if someone threw it at you.

Which would also be true of a vampire (though vampires are considerably heavier than iguanas and probably far less cooperative about being thrown).

So in that sense, I suppose a vampire can be "caught", just like an iguana. There's logic here! It's very, very well hidden, but I've discovered it.

No, igunaa is the other thing the French girls have, and it's why they give out the condoms to stop the VD, isn't it.

I don't think vampires work that way.

Well, uh, as a doctor who has some experience with, uh, something similar. I can say with some certainty that, uh, vampirism, as it were, isn't contagious. It really isn't even a disease, so you shouldn't be worried about it.

Dear Lord, there aren't Wraith here, are there?

You can't catch it. Not unless one gives it to you. And if he- or she- does, I'm sure it's because you were asking for it.
