exciting night...well, kinda

Yesterday evening, I got another tattoo. Woot. I got the kanji symbol for water tattooed on my left wrist. It's still bandaged up right now...the guy told me to leave it on for 24 hours. But said I could take it off a little before that if I wanted to. So around 4 I'm gonna take the bandage off. I can't wait! I haven't peeked at it at all. :-( My friend took pics of it for me, so I'll post them as soon as she sends them to me.
I even checked with my boss, to see if it was okay that I got a tattoo on my wrist. I wasn't sure if they had a policy. But I told her, if it wasn't acceptable in the company, then I'd wear a sweat band around my wrist while I was at work. She didn't think it would be a problem, even if I didn't wear a sweat band. So anyways, she had to go to a meeting with her boss and said she'd double check with her. So afterwards, she called me back and told me it was fine. I didn't have to wear a sweat band! Woot! She gave me a really funny example. She said,"It just can't be something that'll raise too much intrigue. For instance, I'm not implying anything, but if you got a tattoo of a rainbow, you'd have to be ready to give some sort of explanation if the clients in the house asked about it." I found that ABSOLUTELY hilarious! I mean, do I really STILL look gay? Ever since I grew out my hair, I thought I looked a little more straight LOL, but I guess they assume that just because I 'look' like a straight girl, doesn't mean that I am. I like that though. No stereotypes at my place of work. :-) Lucky me.

So needless to say, I told her the tattoo wasn't of a rainbow, LOL. We got a laugh out of that.

After getting my wrist done, I feel like I'm ready to get sleeves done. I mean, it felt SO GOOD. It was a little more painful than any of the other tattoos I've gotten. Especially on that little bone that goes up your wrist. But it felt great. I love it. And the symbol looks beautiful on me. More beautiful than it did on paper. It fits me. I'm glad I got it done.

Anyways, Shawn doesn't want me to get sleeves. And I THINK I might know why and can kind of understand. They aren't very feminine. And it's not like I WANT to get something really fem either. So yeah, I understand, in a way. But it's MY fuckin' body. My temple. I'll decorate it the way I want to. Speakin' of Shawn and tattoos, I still haven't told him I got a tattoo. He'll figure it out today when I see him later.

ROFL, my mom's mad because I owe her 60 bucks and spent 60 on my tattoo. I said,"Don't get mad, get glad, mom!" She hates me, LMAO. I love her though. I promised her I'd pay her back next Wednesday because I'm getting paid overtime. Because I worked A LOT.

Alright, I'm outta here. Gonna finish my beer and cigarette and take a nap. Starr is getting a tattoo today...and  I promised her I'd go with her. It's at 6:30. So I should be up by then. See ya.
