Well, I'm sitting her in the Drury Inn in Collinsville thinking on how shitty of a vacation I've had. I had plans to do so much and did nothing, but get caught in what looked like a mini-hurricane. A storm that left half of my fence knocked down, top of my shed ripped off, limbs everywhere, floods, trees down, catostrophe. Our power has been out since like 8 p.m. yesterday and of course it's out on the hottest day so far this year. I don't mind so much, but I'm worried about my dogs. I had to put them and their food and water into the basement because it is very comfortably cool down there. It breaks my heart that I can't bring them with me or take them to someone else's house who has power. Kobe and Poe are afraid of the dark so I'm sure they're freaking out. All I can do is check up on them. I already did tonight, but it's still going to be hot tomorrow. Hopefully the power comes back on tomorrow so I can hangout at my own house. I hate hotels. Luckily my laptop works. Anywho, last night I went by my mom's after everything went down. You could hardly get down a street without having to dodge a downed tree or bigass limb. Across from St. Elizabeth school there was a flood it looked like but I wasn't brave enough to go down it. At my mom's house, her tree split in half and luckily it didn't hit the house, it came close though. That's all she needed was another tree to fall in her yard. Some of the railroad gates were bent back from the wind. I think the only part in Granite that has power is in west granite and walmart (of course). I checked up on my walmart last night too. I expected it to still have power but it was out. I didn't get a chance to talk to Roxanne and Jamie, but I did talk to CSM Paul and Dallas. They were on security detail. God, I can imagine the loss. It's estimated maybe 200k + in sales. We had a shitty start because of the move so there definitely goes our bonus. Oh well, it's only money. At least everyone I know is ok. Last night too my friend Jamie called me freaking out. Her dad has heart problems bad so he almost needs air conditioning to survive. So she was trying to find hotels and was driving around until like 3 in the morning. Luckily they found after I tried helping for like and hour. Anywho here's the estimations of who is still out of power from Ameren
