I love you, television.

The beautiful thing about British Brevity is that it's perfectly possible to finish watching an entire season of a show in one day while still being able to go about your own business and so on. I've just finished watching the first season of Hex, which is sort of the British answer to Buffy. Well, a really terrible answer, anyway. The whole plot (or whatever passes for a plot) seems to be running on a massive Idiot Ball fuelled by gaping plot holes left, right and centre. In other words, it's the kind of guilty pleasure I love watching while tucked up in bed at one a.m. in the morning with a cup of hot cocoa. Alright, I haven't got any hot cocoa at home, but you get the point. Think first season of Torchwood (people, alien sex pollen is a bad, bad cliché in fanfiction; it's not supposed to make it to the screen!)

Besides, if all else fails, there's plenty of Michael Fassbender in guy-liner, looking emo, stalking women and generally being proto-Edward Cullen (of course, the important difference here is that Azazeal is a Magnificent Bastard while Edward is, er, a vampire over a hundred years old who still attends high school).

eye candy, geekdom
