so i was on my way home the other night, and as you can imagine i was focused on other things than driving. and i notice this fly cruising around about 3 inches above my dashboard. and because of our current subject in my physics class (having to do with vectors, velocity, and acceleration) i began to wonder about how fast the fly was actually moving, because i was driving at about 45 mph.
then i started to think, if a fly was hovering around in say.... a dodge viper gts-r going 20 mph, and you punched the gas sending it to around 100 mph in under 4 seconds, would the fly hit the back windshield? or would it accelerate along with the car? and by the same token, if you were cruising at 100 mph and you slammed on your brakes, would the fly hit the front windshield?
.... oh the questions of life.
