One of my mom's brothers died yesterday. It's strange to mourn the loss of someone you hardly knew, but he was still a part of my life, and a large part of my mother's. She's so strong, but I know it breaks her heart. He was sick for a long time, mostly because he couldn't -- wouldn't -- take care of himself. His death was inevitable, even more so ( Read more... )

Great wedding weekend in Texas last weekend. Going to NJ this weekend for Round 2 of 7 (this one has cost me well over $600, eek). Should be fun.

I am now back at home in Louisiana for almost 2 weeks now. I love my job, I'm happy to be near friends and family, and I enjoy driving again so I can sing loudly in my car ( Read more... )
