That's right! I get to do three of my favorite things in the same week:
1. wear costumes
2. visit my niece
3. rollerskate
Yay! All three at once? Hmm... maybe. Can't be too elaborate with the costume though. Don't want my dress to get caught in my wheels.
So, here's the plan: Eric and I are taking a road-trip to Iowa. We're going to break up the 24 hour drive by seeing cool things along the way... like a building that looks like a giant basket, an electric monkey that sings Elvis Presley songs at a grocery store, and a castle built by just one crazy man in Ohio. (Yeah, he may have been crazy, but he's more was apparently more industrious than most non-crazy folks.) As I thought about it, the idea of wearing COSTUMES to enhance the experience arose. So, I've got a few ideas, but I'm up for yours. I'll list the places we will visit and my ideas for what to wear. Please feel free to reply with some of your own ideas.
1. Underground cave adventure including boatride on underground lake. Costume: hmm... maybe hippies.
2. Giant basket building. Costume: suggestions?
3. Topiary garden of french people. Costume: We'll dress in all green and pretend to be topiary bushes.
4. Castle. Costume: I'm going to be a renaissance princess and Eric will be David Bowie in Labrynth!!!
5. Grocery store with Elvis Monkey. Costume: Different shades of camoflauge and "trying" to blend into the walls. So sneaky!
6. Nudist camp. Costume: Only wings, baby!
7. The Black-light Church of the Apocolypse. Costume: Um... Oh! Something very black light reactive! Maybe some clothes from the 80s! Ooooh! And highlighter glows in the black light!! This is going to be wicked!
8. Leaning tower of Niles. Costume: bed-sheet togas.
Those are the plans as of now. Any ideas? My plans are flexible in case you top my costume ideas.
Cross dressing could be fun. Fun but creepy. Eric has a goatee... and I don't think he would pass. ha ha ha...
Love,
Stacie
