So I've put this off so long that I probably won't even be able to complete 6 credits by July (since I've procrastinated all the way up to February)... but I'm officially a graduate student working on graduate credit for my teaching license renewal. Oh my!
I'm taking the 100 percent easy route of online classes. There's no way at this point that I could enter a real classroom as a student. I hope I never have to! I stumbled on to this route through an email I received at VIS to the teachers back in November when I had that maternity leave. Online graduate credit through Ashland University. Nice! Now, If I would of started a few months ago I would of been in a less stressed state of mind. But I start today. I can take 2 credits at a time for 6 weeks. Lessons are posted every Wednesday and Friday for the 6 weeks. New classes start every 8 weeks. So there's a 2 week break between them to complete the final.
I can apply for a one year renewal if I don't complete the 6 credits, but I should at least have 4 under my belt and maybe do the other 2 over the summer or in the fall. Compared to a full course load it's super easy, but going back to school is still really a difficult process! Plus payment was another factor.
This is going to be really hard for me because about a half hour into reading one of the lessons... I'm doing this! This is going to test my focus for sure.
Here's to the next 6 weeks of learning!!!!!!!!!!!
