I am back! If you haven't seen my victory post already or haven't figured it out by the "50,000" in the subject, then I'll tell you now! I typed my butt off until I reached 50,000 words, finally! And now here are the excerpts for 40,000 and 50,000 words, as promised! I'm addressing something sort of important at the bottom, so if you're reading this, make sure not the skip the bottom A/N!

I pant twice, trying to breathe, but reply nonetheless. “I’m a Condemner. We are ruthless.”
“Just think about that next time you want to fight, Seri,” he whispers sensually in my ear. My breath turns erratic and I swear I can feel Darionn’s lips twitch into a smirk next to my ear before he releases me and I spin around, panting heavily.
I notice the small twitch in Darionn’s right leg - the one behind his forward stepped left foot - before he pounces; it’s the same principle as watching a street cat stalking a small critter in one of the abandoned alleyways or warehouses. Their furry tail twitches slightly before they extend their sharpened claws and pounce.
I scoff. How could he even say that, now knowing the situation? “If I get chosen, you won’t be.” I ignore his hurt expression and continue walking while he stops, letting his arm fall limply to his side. I don’t mind the sudden cold that I feel when he’s not holding me; right now, I’m too angry at him to care.
"It’s not like we can just announce to the entire barracks that we’re planning a rebellion to escape. The brainwashed soldiers of the government would run like dogs reporting a misdeed to their masters, with tails wagging and hoping for a treat as a reward.”
-----
“Thank you,” I say; my words are a little louder than a whisper, so Neil, Coli, and Kerian, still shocked, can hear, but lower than normal. Darionn shows me a wry smile with a bitter sadness layering it, and I know he understands my gratitude and how much I’m truly grateful for. When we both finally turn back to our three friends, I finally, belatedly and vaguely realize that I didn’t cut off that fated sentence this time around. Maybe I’m forgiven, after all.
“So what will we do now?” Kerian asks the fateful question. I don’t exactly know what to say to that question. Obviously, neither Darionn nor Neil has an answer either, and for the first time, I see Darionn speechless. Everyone’s mind is echoing with the same thought.
Once my hair is complete, I work on my body, from head to toe. First I scrub the dirt streaks from my cheeks and forehead, where the dust has mixed with my sweat and formed a muddy substance that sticks to my skin.
I scoff skeptically. “So just for me, all of you are willing to risk your lives for a future that isn’t certain to continue without interruption even if this does succeed? Who has put you up to this cruel joke? Because, truly, it’s in no way amusing.” I narrow my eyes dangerously.
After I’m finally able to see my old friend again, I find out that she will not know who I am; our introductions will be repeated and our bond will grow from nothing once more. It will be torture.

And that's all, folks! That's all the excerpts until I break 60,000! I'll be working until my novel is finished, so expect some more, even if November is finished.
Now the important topic I wanted to address: It's about whether or not I should post my entire novel on LJ, which counts as publishing it, in a way. I really like the novel and where it's heading and how I've written it, and so I might decide to take it a bit further than just NaNo and might try to actually legitly publish it for real... I'm not too sure; it depends on how everything ends up working out! I know some of you are itching to read the plot/novel itself, but I'm not sure if I'm going to be posting that! For now, I'm sticking with excerpts ever 10,000 words!
And now that my 50,000 words are complete and I've won, I'm going to be back in action for my fics and updates! I'm already working on Chapter 3A of Lovelessly Loved, so be patient! It'll be posted soon! :)
Again, thank you to everyone for your support! I couldn't have made NaNo work without you!
