break this bittersweet spell on me, lost in the arms of destiny

I can swim! Hurrah!

50,180. That has a marvellous ring to it, doesn’t it? Oh, I feel so vital and important. Me me me! I’ve written another 50k novel while the lot of you have sat on your asses doing nothing! (Don’t mind me, I’m only allowed to gloat once every year.)

I wrote my 50,000th word while listening to Apocalyptica’s Bittersweet which was of course the main inspiration for Bittersweet; a lovesong. It was a rather fitting salute to the end of the madness which we call NaNoWriMo, I think. It started with Bittersweet and it ended with Bittersweet.

Except that I’m about thirty thousand words from the end. But I will finish it; I just have to update four hundred plus photographs before NaPhoDaYr ends, sell at two craft shows, one tomorrow and the other Saturday (leave a comment if you want the directions! We’re selling cards, record earring holders, record bowls, book covers, fork bracelets and fork necklaces), clean my room, organize my entire closet and post the two entries in adayinmylife that I haven’t posted yet before I can do so.

Once again I’m finding that December isn’t for sleeping. Woe.
