Ahhhhhh. I have not updated this for soooo long. Don't delete me off your friends list or anything, please. I am on here pretty frequently checking up on everyone's posts even if I hardly update these days, I'm kinda busy with Senior year & all. But, here is my update, it's a long one...
I went to see Green Day/Flogging Molly/Jimmy Eat World last night in SF.I'm not too big on Jimmy Eat World, but Flogging I enjoy. It is my second time seeing Green Day..and Jimmy too, as a matter of fact. Being an Old School Green Day fan, it was an incredible experience, once again. Seeing a band you've grown up listening to, since 2nd grade (My Dad introduced them to me), is intoxicating. I have always been in love with this band, and I seriously mean that. Because they've become somewhat mainstream, it makes me mad (for lack of better word) when all these people (mainly girls) are like "Yeah, I love Green Day, they're my favorite, Billie Joe is amazing/hot/whatever!", and they have just started listening to them since American Idiot came out & they know practically nothing about the band & thier background. These people think that American Idiot is there first & only album or something and I kid you not, at least half the people there didn't know most of the older songs they played last night. Uhhhhh....Fuck you, go home & shut up, thanks. I don't go around saying I love some band they play on the radio just because I like a few songs of their's & it seems "cool" to like them and because they trash Bush, when I know nothing about the band. Gosh. I actually know about Green Day's background & have seriously been listening to them for 10 years straight. Yeah Billie Joe's fucking hot, I've noticed. But, I've loved Billie Joe's musical & lyrical talent, and his non stop integrity since I first heard their then-new album "Dookie" in 1994 (39/Smooth & Kerplunk came before but were not major label albums). Basically if I could meet Billie Joe & talk to him, my life would be complete, literally. Mr. Mike Ness of Social Distortion comes in a close second. Yup, Billie's phenomenal, but don't say that unless you know why. Period. I could go on & on, but I won't, not now at least. I just wanted to get that out. Thanks to those of you who read this and/or comment. I love you all. <3
Here are some pictures from yesterday, they speak for themselves.
