a long quicky

Just a quick post today....I should be doing tons of stuff but I am sooooo lethargic. It's 1:45 pm and I got up 15 minutes ago. I have *never done this in my life*. Okay, in my defense, I arrived from Edmonton this morning at 2 am....plus with the time zone change, it feels like it's only 11:45 for me....I should be getting ready for lunch! I want to dine out, let's see if I can convince Raph. There's something wrong with him and it makes me feel strange. He seems so stressed out. For me, I can finally relax. And I have also finally caught up on sleep...the hotel was not exactly sleep friendly so I found myself with about 4 hours of sleep for 5 consecutive nights.

This trip was so incredibly stressful, mainly because of the flights. I was tense the entire way back home and even managed to freak out during the landing in Ottawa: I thought the plane was free falling. Seriously though, I never had such a fast landing! We were in the air for only 30 minutes (connection Toronto-Ottawa). We never actually leveled off for that flight, which was 29,000 feet in the air. We only went upwards and downwards. At least, like I said, the landing was quick. Unlike the first flight, from Ottawa to Toronto. The plane had to do a 360 mid-flight because we were ahead of schedule. Yeah, I really appreciated that one. *squirm* Then were were stuck doing what felt like figure 8s around the airport due to heavy air traffic. All in all it went really well. Especially the flight towards Edmonton, I did well. We actually got upgraded to Executive Class because of some kind of snafu on their part. Raph was soooo happy! Me too...there was free booze, so I took 3 Advils and two glasses of wine, then wrap it up with some coffee. I felt pretty fuckin' good. I also got to see an arsty French movie, Angela, which I enjoyed tremendously. I hope it wasn't just the wine. First class was fine but it's a total rip off and would never buy their tickets. It was funny to see Raph all concerned/confused at the little steamy towels they were handing us with thongs. LOL. "Katou! What do I DO with this!?" hehe. I'm just so glad to be back. The flight home was quite turbulent. Raph was a great support throughout and I'm glad he was there. This fear of flying is getting out of control, and I have to get a grip on it. I wish they could just put me to sleep and wake me up when it's over. I keep telling myself there are SO many ways I could die, so why in an airplane crash?

There was one casualty though....I lost my fucking camera!!!! SHIT! If someone didn't steal it on the plane then there is hope I can get it back soon. IF someone didn't steal it. I just don't want to travel for another while.

Hopefully the next post will be me raving about how awesome Edmonton is. I guess this wasn't a short post after all!
