that weasel face captaino finally stopped ducking me. we finally played today, and he currently leads 2:1 in a match that was called on account of inlaws. he won the 1st game in an ugly game that set scrabble back about 30 years, then bagged me in the 2nd game and i had the run of play in the 3rd. we hope to finish up the match early next week. i need to play better.
i got a less than ideal draw in the bracketing, of course, but so what? it was gonna happen to someone. besides, if youre in the marquee matchup for the round, which everyone seems to think this match is, then it means you must know what youre doing at least to some extent. its fine.
KC is playing JKB tomorrow nite here at the house. i will make Ethiopian food for them.
matchplay is fun. its definitely generated some interest among all of us here. i suspect this will become a regular Bay Area tradition.
