mezcal mango margarita
here at The Decency League, we believe that idle hands are the devil’s plaything - so clearly, the solution is to put a drink in said hands to keep it busy. Decency League principal barfly bbstenniz stopped in for some afternoon cocktails today and we solved the dilemma of what to do with a squushy old mango.
MEZCAL MANGO MARGARITA
1½ oz. mezcal
1 oz. cointreau
1 oz. squushy old mango
1T agave nectar
juice of ½ a lemon
mash the mango up in sloppy pulp, add to shaker with the liquors, the agave, the lemon juice and a whole bunch of ice. stirred but not shaken, served over ice in frozen glass. this was a beautiful beverage, as the overripe mango really counterbalanced nicely with the smoke of the mezcal.
