holiday feast

its time once again for Thanxgiving Eve, which is our favourite peronsal holiday around here. we always spend Turkey Day with others, but the nite before is for us to feast and be thankful. this has been a terrible year all around, but there is still plenty to be thankful for, indeed.

we did have to scale the feast back a little bit this year due to finances, although you wouldnt know it from this foto:




mise en place. tonight’s dinner is black-&-blue ahi tuna for two topped with mango berry salsa, a sauté of random expensive mushrooms, mixt green salad of spinage and basil, fresh berries over lemon sorbet with almond & sea salt chocolate for desert. we also have squashes, lots of O&G, and New Mexico chiles to make calabacitas for dinner mañana.

and we also got some drunken goat cheese as well, because the Fabulous Baker Babe is making bread:




yeah, i think we will be OK here.
